Perfect deep socket set.
There is really nothing I can complain about. They are expensive but the price is right. I have put them to HARD use for months and they don't show any signs of wear. Just paint scratches on the outside when I have used them up against hard steel. You can get thinner sockets if you really need the extra millimeter of clearance (sometimes I do) But you won't beat the quality and durability of these.

Excellent performance and quality at an amazing price
There are three reasons I like Tekton impact sockets. First, although I have never broken one, their warranty process is amazing. All you need to do is send a picture and it is mailed out to you same day or next day, depending on the time. This is a best in class warranty. This also applies to their customer support outside of warranty. You get a response in a very timely manner, usually within one business day in my experience.Second, these sockets handle some hard work. I don't want to use the phrase take abuse, but you can work these sockets hard. The only failure I have has with these sockets was actually a break in the extension I was using. The socket itself had no signs of excessive wear or damage. Just a bit of coating rubbed off which is normal wear.Third is a combo one, the price of these sockets is very competitive and there are rarely skips in sizes in sets. Many brands skip less commonly used sizes in efforts to bring price down, but Tekton keeps that competitive price and still delivers a full no skips set.I also own Craftsman, Husky, ProValue and less than a handful of Blue-Point impact sockets, most of which come in at a higher price. I would use these Tekton sockets over any of then simply due to the above reasons. Now, there is a complaint I do have. The sockets are only laser etched or whatever you want to call that. I would prefer to have them dual marked, adding the stamped size markings. The reason I do not remove any stars for this is because after contacting their support, I was informed that should the marking wear off, they will cover that under warranty. That satisfies my concern to my advantage.

Comparable to tool truck brands
I use impact sockets every day of my life. If i'm not using them full-time at work then I'm using them part-time at home for side work and projects. Tekton has been an incredible value with sockets that are precise in size yet durable in construction. There have been a few occasions where I must use an impact socket as a pressing tool whether for balljoints or a universal joint replacement and Tekton can take the abuse. I have yet to scratch off the laser etching and I don't think I ever will.Trust me, I've been a Master Certified Tech for 10 years now, this is my life. I own a vast array of tools and I assure you that Tekton sockets are an excellent value. No, $400 in sockets from Snap On to get a "free" ratchet is not a good deal. Convenient, sure, but I bleed and sweat for my money so I can always appreciate my dollars going a little further.Save yourself some money, buy an affordable socket set and save the tool truck financing for things like pry bars, breaker bars, etc. Good luck and be safe!

Who knew???
If there is anyone out there questioning the quality of tekton impact sockets let me add my two cents worth of knowledge for your consideration. I've owned and used in a professional setting for over 10 years now, the older tekton 1/2" drive impact socket set, Michigan industrial tools was the name back then but I must say you can't beat these sockets, you would have a hard time beating these sockets at any price that includes your snappy sets or matco ECT I've had the big name sockets break while my old MIT set was new just setting in my box as a backup set it never failed if I brusted a socket I could grab a 3/4" impact a snappy reducer and a MIT socket and the bolt/nut was the next thing I broke weather it be loose or in half they moved, I have since sold my name brand 1/2" drive impact sockets and needless to say the MIT set is my go to everytime sockets, while a new set of tekton is my backups I just bought a set of the 3/8" drive impact sockets to backup my Wright set if tekton has not changed anything about the production of these sockets I expect these will soon be my go to sockets for use on a Milwaukee fuel. I'll update this post later but I fully expect these to be top grade impact sockets

Good value
I like Tekton as a company. They make great tools for the money. As a mechanic, I generally try not to buy foriegn made tools but generally what Tekton doesn't make here they make in Taiwan, not China. That's preferable for many reasons.I took a shot on this socket set as a "beater" deep socket set. They have suprisingly become my go to deep sockets! They have a deep broach (little less than old American made craftman sockets which were the best) and much more than newer Snap-on (junk). More on that below. These have endured a year + of daily beating and still look new with no rounding or visible wear. They're better sockets than the price would suggest. I'd love to see Tekton make a professional line that was American made and decently priced (like the old Craftsman). So about broach depth (how far down a nut can go into the socket) - Snap-on a few years ago tried to pull a fast one and market their deep sockets with a shallow broach. It's terrible. Their pitch was that the socket would "hold the nut" at the end of the socket so it wouldn't slide down the socket while trying to thread it on and won't get stuck down in the socket (never happens - use a pick). Well, as someone who does this for a living I've never wish my socket did that. It's dumb and just an excuse for them to save money on machining. Start the nut by hand then use socket - non existent problem solved. On the other hand a full broach allows you to remove a nut on a stud while up against tight spaces like an engine or firewall without your ratchet being pushed back away from the base of the stud. Think about it. Conversely, with full broach, as you loosen, the nut travels down the socket as it's being removed from the stud. Because the nut can travel in the socket it allows your tool to remain stationary while removing the nut and never backs your ratchet up against something. It's a pet peeve of mine if you couldn't tell. Full broach - always.

Medium Deep Impact Sockets
These are good as medium deep sockets for suspension work etc. Sometimes you need a deep socket, but you also don't have too much room to work under, so you want a deep socket that isn't too deep. That's where these come in. The deep sockets they sell at HD, under the Husky brand, are deeper than these Tekton ones, but its good to have both for various situations you might run into.I can certainly say the quality of these Tekton sockets is extremely good. You can tell when you pick them up that they aren't cheap and will last a long time. I would recommend.
