Not exactly, but I used it to empty a full five-gallon container into a car, and that took probably a good 10 minutes. It works fine, but it’s not particularly fast.

The clear plastic tubing is flexible but I would not describe it as soft

But since you asked, I assume you are concerned about environmental or safety issues and would like to know how to handle this item properly: So according to CALOSHA here are some relevant requirements for workplace devices that store or transfer flammable liquids: -device must carry certification for the relevant material -store device in a fireproof enclosure certified for liquid or vapor unless certified self contained -storage container must be labeled to show ignition hazards, extinguishing protocols and in the case of gasoline a Prop. 65 warning. As delivered, this siphon meets none of those requirements. So it’s up to you. Just don’t smoke while you’re using it.
