It works great. The tank is 100 gallons and it took ...
I use this to pump out my horse water trough. It works great. The tank is 100 gallons and it took about 5 minutes to drain it. I have a gas powered pump that I have been using but it can be difficult to start sometimes. Water on the outlet side had good force. I keep a plastic cup handy to pour trough water in the top prime hole, put the plug back in and it starts right up taking only maybe 5 seconds to start pumping. The only negative is the hose on the inlet side has to have 2 female ends. One to attach to the pump and the other end to attach the plastic filter. I was able to find one at Lowe's. If the filter was a female thread, then a regular male/female garden hose would work. The filter looks like it can break easily so care should be taken.

Excellent and easy to use
Great pump. I had to get water through 200 feet of garden hose, up about 50 feet in height, and this pump works GREAT!!!I am a first-time pump user and buyer, by the way, and this pump was super easy for this city kid to figure out.The only issue I had was the priming. Although it provides an easily accessible screw to fill pump with priming water, it works much better to prime the hose first leading into the pump. Allow the pump to fill and even spill out the exit hose, you know it's full and primed. The small screw on top does not adequately prime the pump if water is not immediately being sucked, in my humble opinion. But I plugged this thing in and it blew water like crazy, works like a dream.

Motors fine, the worst way to transfer water
As above . based on the provided fittings that came with the pump (intended for use with 3/4" gardenhose threads) and as suggested and shown in their ads, You'll be pulling your hair out just trying to prime this heavy albatross. I'm sure in the right application its a wonderful motor but at least start with a motor whose in/f1.5 " diamter But to make it work.....the suction hose end needs to be very short. My attempts mostly failed because suction hose end was either too long with too much resistance along with inevitable leak leaks at connections more airlock are inevitable (resistance to errrrrr or too weak would collapse due to the one speed motor suctioning thru a garden hose, but even a strong walled hose failed unless it was unrealistically short~2-3 ft max. Even then priming is no small effort, unless you have 3 people stopping up each end while you fill the entire length. You need a running flowing garden hose to fill the prime chamber and both suction and discharge tubse.....NOT a cup of water down the hatch like they show i'm sorry to report. Noisy as he_ _ and slower than stink. Inefficient andwhat takes maybe 20 min using 1.5" diameter spa tubingThis is counter productive to start after priming, but would fail to pump if too long. keep the prime the prime eve. THis was absurdly expensive for being above ground failed sump pump.

Good solid pump, great flow, lots of pressure but brushes wear out FAST
This is a good solid pump, power full with great flow rate and pressure. Unfortunately they used a brushed motor instead of a brushless so you have to change brushes. Even more unfortunately this thing EATS brushes in no time. Set of brushes burned down to the wire in barely 30 days - and it was sitting idle for half that time. Not looking good for using it in a continuous duty system. They say change the brushes every 100 hours - fat chance of that. For continuous duty thats every 4 days!! I figured that was just greatly exaggerated requirement so that they could blame you for failures long down the road, but it turns out its not that long. I probably only had 250 hours on it when the first brushes gave out. They send a spare set, but the arcing damages the commutator so the second set burns out in an hour or so. This would be a great product if they would make it with a brushless motor. Maybe I can find a brushless motor to replace the factory one. In the mean time, I think it would still be a good buy for someone who was going to use it very infrequently, but if you are going to use it a lot this will wear out in no time.

Works well.
I bought this to get rain water off of of a winter pool cover. It could have worked faster, but it did the job without issue. I'm not sure why the filter the comes with it is male-threaded, but it is. One just as to put the male end of the hose in the pump. The pump comes with 2 male-male fittings that aren't a lot of use. I was unable to remove the plug on top for priming the pump, but had no trouble just pouring water into either the input or output side of the pump. It's a little noisy, but not terrible.

Moves water
I have a water tote that I use to water various things with when I'm not near a water source, I used to use a 12v pump that took forever this pump moves water keeps up with what ever I need.

Very powerful
This is very powerful and sturdy pump. The rate of pumping is NOT the best, but it can stand freezing weather and very hot days as well.I emptied my 1/3 of my 35,000 gallon pool in about 10 hours.Highly recommend it.

A great pump for the price! The pump is capable of providing minimum of 45-50 psi of pressue
The media could not be loaded. The first pump leaked water from the pump housing/motor. Amazon replaced the pump with a new one in 2 days. I highly suggest using a little oil squirt can, & pump a little 10-W30 oil into the primer plug hole BEFORE priming the pump with water. I belive this will help to lubricate the internal seals and prevent leaks on start up. So far so good, no leaks! I will try and post a few pics after I test out my little special project. I would recommend this pump to buyers, assuming it is utilized as per the instructions included in the box. I have completed my test setup, and yes, I can now operate my gas powered pressure washer using filtered river water as the inlet supply to the pump, also using a one way check valve. See the video.
