Officemate OIC Wire Cubicle Hook, One Side, Fits Partitions Up to 2.5-Inch, Black (22007)

Fit perfect over headboard to hang items by side of bed.

I bought 2 of these to use at work. The first was for my coat because my winter coat is a ski type jacket with a Velcro flap on the front to cover the zipper. I was tired of the Velcro sticking to my sweaters when my coat was hanging on the back of my chair. The second hook was for my backpack, because I was tired of having it sit on the floor leaning against the leg of my desk (it does not stay upright by itself, so it would fall over if I didn't lean it against the desk).I started looking for a hook I could use on the cube walls and I came across these hooks. I measured my cube walls and they are exactly 2 1/2" wide, these hooks fit snugly on the walls. I had to pull them apart so the metal cube top wouldn't scrape the black finish off the hooks. Not that matters much, but I didn't want black finish shavings on my cube neighbor's desk. I put one on my back wall, and positioned it behind my cube neighbor's monitor so she does not see the hook. The other is on my outside cube wall.I can easily slide the hooks along the length of the cube walls to reposition them. They are sturdy, functional, and look like they belong (i.e. they don't stand out.) They hold my heavy winter coat and my laptop backpack, both with and without the laptop in it. As I mentioned previously, my backpack does not stand upright on it's own, so having it on one of these hooks makes it easier for me to load up my laptop at night with the bag being on a hook, too, as I can just reach over, open the flap and slide the laptop in the bag. An added benefit that I wasn't expecting or even looking for, I just wanted it off the floor.If you have wider cube walls, these hooks will not work for you. However, I believe they would work for thinner cube walls. My hooks don't have much "play" in them with regards to the space, and that's fine for me. There would definitely be more play for thinner walls, but they clamp down on the cube walls, so that shouldn't be an issue.All in all, great purchase and I'm willing to bet as soon as my colleagues see my hooks, they'll be buying some for themselves.

It was great just too small for my office cubicles . The company was awesome about the return process.
