You can purchase spare bobbins for small or large ball winders from Stanwood, but why? As stated earlier, the large metal ball winder can be used for all yarns. **Q: I would love to know if knitters generally draw yarn from the center, & if so what (besides preventing cake from rolling around) are the advantages?** A: The advantage of pulling from the center is less twist as you unwind the yarn.
