I Stand Amazed in the Presence of This Device
This thing actually works as advertised. Who'd a thunk it? I was a little nervous about cutting the existing vent pipe off 1/2" above the roof, but, by laying a 1/2" block of plywood next to the pipe and using that to guide a reciprocating saw -- I was able to get a square cut. I would not attempt this just by marking the pipe with a sharpie or something similar. The way this device is designed, the cut has to be pretty accurate to work properly. The hardest part was removing the old one. I used a Multi-tool because a simple putty knife was not up to the job. The original vent was installed w metal screws. Using the multi-tool with a metal cutting blade took care of the screws, but melted the sealant, and made quite a mess. This was a bigger job than indicated in a promotional video. Be prepared to throw away the blade after cutting through the screws and the original sealant unless you want to spend a lot of the remaining days of your life cleaning a $6 blade. The included "sealant tape" did not work well for me -- so I used a tubed silicone sealant instead -- put a layer on the roof, used new screws to secure the device to the roof, and, then covered the entire flange, screws and all, with another layer of sealant. It is worthy to note that I keep my Coach in a fully enclosed metal storage bay, and, previous to the installation of this device -- after being away for a few days, I was bothered by sewage odor. Amazingly, this device works well even when the Coach is stored in this bay where the ambient air is very still. My Coach Exhibited three identical Vent caps. I gained confidence in the process after replacing the first one so proceeded to the second one which turned out to be a cover for some 12v wiring. Bummer -- the same mess and ruined blade! Replaced that one w acheaper cap. The third one went smoothly following the then proven procedures, and, the results are truly amazing, and, worth the effort.

It doesn't stink !
This vent is fairly easy for a couple of novices to install although we were not 100% sure where the putty was supposed to go. The install was made even easier because the existing vent stack we have was short enough already that we didn't have to shorten it down to place the insert in it.The insert was a snug fit and the whole assembly seems to be working well. It didn't require the same number of screws as the original vent cover. We also used some self leveling Dicor over the old screw holes and sealed around the whole base of the unit as well. We test drove with stuff in the tanks and where before we'd get gassed out is now a pleasant ride.

Great odor remover
Took a little time to install on the MH but the instructions were excellent - there is no longer any odors coming from either tank and we don't use any deodorant if we're doing a shorter trip but do squirt in some Dawn as suggested by others. The product works as advertised and by waiting, I got a much cheaper price than when they first came out.

Measure your vent tube diameter!!!
This is designed to work with a 1 1/2" vent pipe. if you have an 1 1/4" vent pipe like I do it will not fit per the instructions out of the box. I had to cut the flange part off the insert piece and glue it to my existing vent with a high-strength glue. With that being said, I'm happy with the product it just took me a lot longer to install than most people. They could easily bundle this with the correct flange piece for the smaller pipe as well and have a perfect product.

Product has Issues
I purchased the 360 Siphon RV Fume Extractor from Amazon last year to replace original equipment on my Essex Coach. Prior to buying I reviewed the product on 360 Product's Web Site and watched the Video. The engineering seemed sound and the product reviews that I found around the web were mostly positive. The installation was easy and the product looked great on my coach's roof.I have a large garage where the coach is parked through the winter months, so I was not able to test the 360 Siphon out until the spring of this year (2015). I left in April on a cross country trip to California. While driving through New Mexico I began to notice unpleasant odors emanating from the restroom when the Coach was in motion and the commode was flushed. By the time I reached Arizona the odors were bad any time the commode was flushed, whether in motion or not. Because of time considerations I elected not to make any changes to the black tank until the return trip home and employed the restroom vent fan whenever the commode was used. Nevertheless the orders continued to intensify on the return trip. Upon reaching Texas, I contracted with a nationally known RV tank cleaning company to have both the black and grey tanks thoroughly cleaned. This seemed to help a little, but once the black tank began to fill the odors returned.I don't know the real reason why the product did not work as advertised. One might attribute the product's poor performance to the dusty environments of West Texas, New Mexico and Arizona and it simply clogged up. If the vent stops up obviously its a product defect and the manufacturer should inform the buyer not to use in dusty environments.

I was using the spinner type vents which worked fine, had no odor problems but a few weeks ...
I was using the spinner type vents which worked fine, had no odor problems but a few weeks ago in strong winds one of the spinners broke off and went missing. I replaced it with one of the 360 products. The first time we went down the road we had a serious odor problem. I have checked the p traps and toilet seal so I believe the 360 vent is not working. I will replace it with another spinner and see if that resolves the problem. The only factor that may have been part of the problem is that the 360 is mounted directly behind a fantastic fan cover...so maybe that is the issue?? I will try to report back when I install a new spinner.
