Item is exactly as described.On the plates though,it's difficult to write on with that metal pen,because the writing is not smooth,the letters come out as you are now learning how to write,as you are still in the elementary school.

The plates are good steel, good value for the money. laser engraved numbers and lines. The small screw was missing it's nut, no big deal. The included scribe is useless, very hard to use. I switched to using a Dremel with small ball, this made it easy as writing with a pen. Words are easily legible now and very secure, just put it somewhere safe.

Definitely good quality steel, I'd trust it surviving a fire or flood (depending on how severe). However, the engraving is not my cup of tea. It's very difficult to see even the deepest engravings, and leaves you guessing what each letter/number is. I think these plates coupled with a stamp/mallet approach would be awesome, the plates really do seem like good material. Just would recommend something that goes deeper into the plate.

This product works just as advertised. It's always hard when you write the seeds phrase if you do it for the first time. Just do your best and don't understand your seeds. Store it well and you be ok. If there is a fire good luck with any kind of metal or alloy it will be destroyed. So don't expect too much. I'm happy with it. Will store it in the bank safety box or a made in USA safe box for safety.

This definitely does what it's supposed to do, if you have a cold wallet this makes a lot of sense to have in case things get destroyed.

This is a great product, it costs a fraction of the price of other models. Inscribing with a metal scribe is the easiest and most permanent way to memoialize your seed. Punch out letters on more expensive cards could be dissasembled and loose your key. It was easier than expected to use the scribe, and it looked good with the black anodizing.

Terrible hard to scribe on and the lines are so small...would NOT recommend buying
