Great tube socks.Super nice cotton.Plush.Nice padding for your feet inside of shoes.I wear these while playing tennis. Gives a great retro look, old-school style, for your tennis whites.More importantly, they are very comfortable. They protect my feet well inside of my tennis shoes during hard, rough, play for hours.Wicks up sweat quite well.The calves/ends of these socks have nice elastic that hold up well, and doesn't slip down your legs, even during hours of active wear.

I love over the calf socks. To me this is the best over the calf sock that ever was made. Durable construction, thick and comfortable, true over the calf height, and has stood up to daily wear and washings. If your looking at Hanes or any other over the calf sock, read the reviews. They stink. They have changed over the years and they are not what they used to be. I bought a package of over the calf socks from Hanes and every single sock was a different length and some of them didnt even reach high enough or stay up while wearing them. This sock from Wigwam is exactly what it says it is and I love them. I will be a buyer for ever as long as they keep the same quality.

Well made socks and keeps you warm

Very nice socks, nice and thick and well made. They'll fit well if you have size 13 feet, unfortunately I don't. It's hard to find tube-socks that are one size fits all and they actually fit a size 8 1/2. At least these don't have the reinforced gray heel that ends up on my ankle.

I wear a size six men's shoe, and am always on the lookout for size 9-11 socks, since the standard 10-13/one size fits all does not apply to me (sometime in the past 25 years, the standard became 10-13 instead of 9-11).. When we ordered these, the description clearly stated size 9-11, but when they arrived they were labeled one size, and the Title of the item on amazon had been edited over the weekend to say one size (even though the description still said size 9-11). The ribbing at the top is also shorter than it looks in the photo. These are huge on me--they hit slightly above the knee joint--and the seam that's supposed to hit under the toes actually hits me under the fore-foot. The fabric is also very stiff (the cotton doesn't seem to be a good quality). Very disappointing, but they will just go to the homeless shelter, which is where most of my sock purchases wind up because they're too large. Amazon needs to be more careful with size labeling.

These are not tube socks, they are crew socks for men with gigantic feet. But they fit ok and are taller than all other crew socks so I think I may keep them.

I threw the rest of my socks in the sock drawer out. Some brand new. They wouldn't stay up in work boots and I would eventually find them around my ankles, or even worse, under my foot. I started out with a three pack to try them out. They appear in the package not as long as they are on. However, they easily go over my calf and to my knee if I pull them a little more, but there is no need to. The beauty of the design is that the elastic top stretches and not the main sock and sole area, where you need the extra padding. The top elastic is very forgiving and allows you as much or as little vertical stretch as you need. They would be fine for a person taller than myself. The top holds your calf tight, but not too much, and they don't fall an inch all day long. The soles are soft and well padded, but not so mu that tight shoes don't fit. I followed up my initial order with 5 more sets. Laundry sorting should be easy.UPDATE 1-10-2014. I've been using these socks exclusively for over a year and a half now. They still stay up on my calfs very good. They obviously have lost some of their cushion from a year and a half ago, but all the socks are intact and still fairly soft. None have gotten holes worn through them, or even have gotten thin to the point that it feels like nothing on your feet. I wear these daily in work boots and am very pleased with them. I definitely will purchase this exact sock again when they start to wear out, but I'm expecting that will be a while yet.UPDATE 11-8-15: Three and a half years later and I'm ready to replace these socks with the exact same ones. I haven't gotten any holes in them, but they are getting thin. I wear these daily with work boots. For six months out of the year, I put a lot of miles on my feet and for six months, not so much. I'm still impressed with how well these socks still stay up and the quality.
