Great pasta that is versatile, flavorful and adds a twist to homemade chicken noodle soup. We call it "chicken and pasta ball soup". The pasta holds up well, doesn't get soft and mushy. Works well with a variety of sauces and vegetables dishes. This company has never disappointed, always consistent quality.

This is one of my favorite pastas and I am so glad to find it on Amazon. Rustic, nutty and wholesome tasting. It’s definitely more elevated than plain white pasta. Tastes delicious, a little chewy, but wonderful with some garlic, olive oil and fresh Parmesan.

Great for soups

These are toasted pastas smaller than a pea. I use them often in a favorite recipe of mine - chicken breast (salt, pepper and any additional spice you like) in broth in the slow cooker. Add a handful of this pasta to broth at the start of cooking. The pastas don't get soggy, because they have been pre-toasted. Delicious.

Rustichella d’Abruzzo is a premium fregola from a reputable top class pasta manufacturer. Abruzzo is well known for excellent wheat grown from fertile soil and spring water. Rustichella makes the most of this environment. The fregola is lightly toasted (as is should be) with a rough surface which is ideal for flavor absorption. Par boil in water first to a few minutes before Al Dente. Drain and add your favorite stock (lobster, seafood or meat). Add vegetables, seafood or meat and continue cooking. The results are astounding.

Excellent product but a bit overpriced (the only reason I'm docking a star). I'd buy it more often if it was closer to $10 or $11 a pack (it's over $13 now).

This is our new favorite pasta, so it’s great it came in a two pack. The texture is lovely for salads. It flavors beautifully with whatever sauce you use. Citrus is our favorite.

Love the texture and taste. I made a vegetarian minestrone and this pasta was perfect. No starch!
