They work absolutely great. Set the trap and bait with black sunflower seeds. We've had to attach the traps to tent stakes to prevent larger animals from carrying off the trap. **Q: Can you buy or get more removable bait cups?** A: I had one batch of traps whose bait cups broke the first or second time that each trap snapped (specifically the tabs at the bottom are what failed). I emailed the manufacturer, who mailed me a bag of 25 replacement cups. They are super sturdy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked like a charm *by M***N on May 9, 2026* Put this trap out the first evening after it arrived. Put peanut butter in the bait cup. The next morning there was a deceased rat in the trap. Can’t do better than that. This trap is very easy to use. You remove the bait cup from the bottom and fill it with bait (in my case peanut butter). It only holds a small amount so very economical. After replacing the bait cup you simply push down on the top lever and it locks in place automatically (kind of like a clothes pin action). Then set the trap out and you are done.
