Q: 5 ft 8 size 7 to 8 pants?

I am 5ft 1in, sz 12 and I bought the large. Which is snug compression. But still very comfortable. And stays in place well. For someone who wears a size 8 pants I would recommend a medium. However for someone over 5ft 5 tall, I think they may be just a little short in the legs..unless she likes them that way so that they don’t show under cropped pants or jeans.

Q: Are these tight and thin enough to wear under a pair of thick artic thermals?

Sorry I do not know what a thick pair of Arctic thermals are but i wear them under leggings when we are out snowshoeing and they are super comfortable.
