Ice Cream Scoop, Zinc Alloy with Cushioned Ribbed Handle

My only complaint is the handle is smallish and has an edge that can be uncomfortable when scooping really frozen solid ice cream. Otherwise it works great, heavy and disperses the cold to make scooping easier.

I love ice cream. To be more specific, I love eating ice cream but until recently I hated having ice cream in my freezer because it was a pain in the butt to scoop. I have always had to let my ice cream warm up to scoop it even when I used other ice cream scoops. It has never been a fun process to wait for the ice cream to warm up, attempt to scoop, discover it's not warm enough yet, get impatient, try to scoop anyway, and end up with a big mess. So when I saw that this scoop claimed to be able to scoop the hardest ice cream with no trouble I was skeptical but hopeful. I'm happy to say that a half gallon of ice cream later that this scoop is a gift to an undeserving mankind.I have a very, very cold freezer that keeps my food safe and ice cold but turns my ice cream into an ice cream brick. So this scoop had its work cut out for it. I can definitely say that it has not only lived up to but surpassed my expectations. I was able to scoop ice cream right out of the freezer with very little effort. I wasn't wrestling the container or the scoop just to get a smidgen of ice cream out, I got nice looking round scoops of ice cream with a reasonable amount of effort.This scoop was also easy on the hands. The rubbery grip makes it so that you don't have to worry about the scoop slipping out of your hand while you're using it. And even if your scooping did get a little messy the grip keeps your hand in place while you're using it. It's also shaped well enough that even after a fair bit of scooping I didn't end up with a sore hand.Overall I am incredibly happy with this ice cream scoop. It's a bit on the pricier side of things but it is quite literally the only scoop I've been able to find that can actually go through my ice cream when it has just come out of the freezer. It has made eating ice cream more pleasant, as I don't have to fight a battle of wills with the ice cream carton anymore. If you're looking for a scoop that can get through the hardest ice cream, you've found it. The media could not be loaded. I love how well constructed this Kitchenmate Ice Cream Scoop is it is probably one of the best scoops I have ever owned. It is made from Zinc Alloy which I thought it was stainless steel but it is not. It is very solid and is all one piece there is no chance with this that it could ever break especially by regular use with it. It is a good length and is very easy to hold onto while using for any size hand. The handle has a very nice ribbed rubber cushioned grip that runs across it and that makes is so that your hand will not slip at all during use which is nice to be able to scoop easily with out slipping. Another cool thing about this is that you can hear it up under hot water and the materials that it is made from will get hot enough to run right through ice cream even if it s very hard this makes it much easier. All around I really like this ice cream scoop it works very well and is by far the best one I have ever own before. It has not given me any issues or problems so far it is great. It is exactly what I was expecting and is accurately described in the provided description and photos.I was provided this product free for my honest review.
