desertcart.com: wisedry 10 Gram [30 Packs] Silica Gel Desiccant Packets Reusable for Moisture with Color Indicating Rechargeable Small Dessicant Packs Food Grade : Health & Household

Review: Super effective - This desiccant is EXTREMELY good. One little bag is enough for a compact SUV. We used these in a car camping setting and everything stayed nice and dry all night. Easy to "recharge" in the sun.
Review: THEY WORK! Like Overgrown Vitamin Moisture Packs - A month ago I never would've guessed the answer to my cars' inside window fogging problems could be as simple as a giant version of the same thing I've seen inside supplement bottles for my entire lifetime. Now I am a believer, and that's thanks to these WiseDry 500g desiccant packs! They worked for me exactly as advertised, including the recharge procedures. I purchased 8 packs and stuck 4 inside each of my problem children (vehicles, that is). The benefits played out over several days. I did need to wet vac out the pooled water in one of them to get maximum benefits from the packs. But the result over 4 weeks of constant usage is obvious--highly reduced condensation on the inside back and front windows of the two cars! In a wild, woolly, WET Pacific NW winter, that is an AMAZING result! I did discover the microwave is not a very efficient way to recharge all 8 even 2 at a time. It took these packs about 5 days to suck up enough moisture to go "full bloated" (650g weight or more) and following the instructions it would've taken a couple hours all told to get all back down to 505g +/- new weight. And that process pretty much required constant attention. I was actually concerned about the workout it gave my microwave, which isn't used to more than 20 or so minutes of use at a time. So I tried the oven method and was more satisfied using that for these packs. Keeping the oven temp below 300F it still took 6 1/2 hours to get all 8 packs down to recharged weight, but it was a completely hands off process. I don't have an easy way of measuring the energy use of my oven, but I wouldn't be surprised if cost was a wash due to the lower KW needed by a 240V appliance to provide same amount of heat as a 120V unit. That's physics so not gonna go there. Anyway, these packs fared well in the oven so that's likely how I'll generally recharge them. All told I'm giving them 5 stars and gonna keep them in mind for ALL my moisture-related problems henceforth. One note about oven recharging: I'm cheap so I order some less expensive versions of these 500g desiccant packs after seeing the results of the WD's--the white ones that look almost exactly like an overblown version of a vitamin pack, in every way, including seam sealing. Whereas the WD's are tubular construction with just very serious heat fused seams on the top and bottom, the cheaper packs have seams on all sides that did look less, shall I say, "sincere." I allowed them that slack since they were, in fact, cheaper and still claimed to be oven-chargeable. sWell don't you believe it!! Of the 6 of those packs I oven-recharged same as the WD's, 4 split their seams and spilled the beads! Would've been a much bigger mess had I not had a baking sheet below them to prevent direct heat from the oven elements. Oven temps were never about 300F but I believe should be kept to a limit of 250F for these packs. Then they seemed fine, but time of recharge would go up as much as several hours. I have yet to try that again--getting my courage back up...

## Features

- ✅ [ Moisture Indicating Desiccant ] - Contains orange indicating silica gel that enables users to quickly determine when desiccant needs to be recharged or replaced, the orange crystals changing color to blackish green as it becomes increasingly saturated with moisture.
- ✅ [ Reusable Desiccant Packets ] - Rejuvenated by microwave or oven, microwave at DEFROST with several mins, oven temp setting < 250°F, recharge as instruction. Do NOT recharge until the packages are completely saturated, otherwise, they probably be melted.
- ✅ [ Safe Double Packing & Easy Storage ] - 10 grams x 30 packs, hermetically packed inside, a zip lock bag sealed outside, to protect the desiccant packs from moisture before use, also easy to store the unused sachets.
- ✅ [ Food Grade Silica Gel ] - With high moisture absorption up to 35% as own weight. Cobalt chloride free, safe to be used with foods. Suggest using orange indicating silica gel instead of blue one.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can I dry the bags in a conventional oven? I don't have a microwave.**
A: Hi,the silica gel packets can be recharged in a conventional oven, temperature around degree F would be ok, but the drying time will be longer than by a microwave. When the dark green crystals changed color back to orange, they can be put into reuse as new. After repeated rechaged at high temperature, the orange crystals may trun to other color like purple instead of dark green, this won't affect its moisture absorbing function, please note that.

**Q: So I recived my order of 2 bags nside a big plastic bag...opened the big bag..with 2 sealed bags inside..Do I open one of them to use it?**
A: This silica gel moisture absorber bag contains 2 x 500g silica gel packets. Each come with an independent opp sealed bag,and outside a big plastic bag to pack the two bags, such double packing make it safe before open, and available to store the other bag if you just need use one of them at first. Some sellers just using single packaging, once the bag got some damage, the product will absorb moisture and probably being full when arrived to customers' hands. You need to open the big plastic bag, then remove the inside sealed bag,and put the silica gel packet with black fabric to anywhere need moisture removal. You can reactivate it for reuse by microwave after some uses, weigh it with a scale before reactivate would be better if possible. The weight will be about 1.45lbs when absorbed in full. If not in use, just leave it there and recharge it for reuse anytime needed would be ok.

**Q: Made in USA?**
A: Package says Made in China

**Q: are these rechargeable in the microwave or oven?**
A: Hi,this item is available to be reactivated in microwave but Defrost mode only.e.g. with 700W microwave at Defrost, reactivate 10gx5packs (after absorbed in full) will takes about 9-12mins,for larger output microwave, reduce the time accordingly. We have another 50gx4packs which can be fast reactivated in microwave with 2-3mins. After repeated microwaved, its humidity indicating function may lost (orange beads become purple),it still can be used and recharged, but no humidity indicator.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Do seem to work to a limit
*by H***Y on May 22, 2026*

These seem to work well. I placed them inside my windshield on the dash. Really seemed to help with condensation. But only near the area they were placed. Had the windshield resealed. Seemed to be the biggest help. Not sure how much moisture they absorbed. Never did feel damp or soggy. Did use the microwave to dry them out. Will keep working with them and give an update if anything changes.
