ZUGU Case for iPad mini 6/7 (A17 Pro) 2021/2024 [Berry Purple]

I have bought a lot of saq cases over the years and I have to say this case is worth its high price. when you combine high quality materials with solid workmanship you should expect to pay more. The features make my iPad much more user friendly and rock solid. The materials used are soft and it stays on very well. The pencil holders are great, one with wireless charging and the other for if you don’t want it charging. My favorite screen protector is fully compatible with this case. The screen cover fits nicely keeping your screen protected when not using your ipad. The cover stays on your screen until you are ready to use it again. Also, if you want to you can have you ipad sleep while the cover is closed and wake when you open it to improve battery life. My favorite thing about the ZUGU case design is the covers magnetic capabilities allow you to open it all the way, stick it to any flat metal surface such as a refrigerator or a metal door. To top it off you can flip out the magnetic kick stand into one of the 7 slots to prop your iPad in landscape mode to 7 different angles. With this many features you would think that some are probably gimmicky or don’t function well but overall they all continue to work as intended and after almost 2 years of use it still looks super sleek. I got the black color the black color to maintain the most professional look. I bought my wife the pine color and she loves it. I have invested a lot of money in ZUGU cases. This review is for my 6th Gen iPad mini but it really applies to all of the ZUGU cases that I own. My step daughters and my own iPad Air 3, and my wife’s iPad Air 4. Be I have only had to replace my wife’s case one time after 3 years of daily use. This was partially because i tried to clean it using a microfiber and something like windex and it rubbed some of material off which got worse over time ( I don’t recommend doing this) I recommend using leather shoe cleaner instead but only on the outside and be very gentle. Take your time and you will definitely like the results. For the inside fabric, try not to get it dirty because its very fragile and its where my wife’s case started having issues. I use compressed air at an extremely low psi a few times a year to clean the inside. The iPads install into the case easily and it stay’s on. You can remove your iPad just as easy. This is a long review but I felt that I have to share my experience here in hopes that you won’t waste your money on any other case (not even one from apple) Im not rich and they’re not cheap but the protection and it’s features make it an investment on your investment.

My first ZUGU was for the Mini 5. Then the Mini 6, and 13 Pro Max. All my cases still look and work like brand new. I use a tablet every where, every day, and for nearly everything including phone calls. So happy the ZUGU case for the Mini 6 will also fit the new Mini 7s. Most often, I use a tablet in portrait mode. To solve the problem I place the whole case with tablet on a small, collapsible phone stand that I purchased for about $6. For Excel, I use a bigger collapsible stand that rotates 360 degrees and has enough clearance for a wireless keyboard. For long periods of handholding, I got a $4 elastic strap that clips across the case. No matter what, ZUGU stays on my tablets. Another bonus is the magnetised case holds the pin key for the SIM card tray behind each tablet. Slim is always important. My tablets are usually carried in a backpack, brief, or portfolio exterior case to avoid rain or extreme accidents and to carry other items like a charger, cords, etc. However I’m confident ZUGUS will protect as good as Otterbox. ZUGUS are pricey but so well worth it when the wear-and-tear is counted in years instead of months. I don’t want to use another brand for my tablets because this is the best one. The quality, build, and durability are proven to me. My tablets are in pristine, brand new condition after years of daily use with ZUGU. Lastly, I didn’t get paid for my review.

First of all, I LOVE this Mugu case! It's a perfect fit for my iPad mini A17 Pro. It is sturdy but light weight, well-designed to correspond perfectly with each feature, has a stable stand and protects perfectly. This case beats all cases that I have ever purchased by leaps and bounds.

I’ve bought two in the past for my larger iPads and I loved them so much I bought one for my iPad mini. They’re made well and they last a long time, years in my experience. I like the features so much that no other case will do. My 3 yr old daughter uses the mini and it does a great job at protecting the screen as well as the actual iPad itself. Easy installation, convenient access to her pencil as well as storage , feels nice and color looks nice, love the magnetic feature and the multiple folding positions to find the right angle for your viewing pleasure.

I have been purchasing Zugu cases for many years and numerous ipads for myself and family. I spent hours and hours comparing cases and Zugu is the only one that met all the demands I have. I have dropped my ipads many times and never had a bit of damage which is my main demand. The corners are securely protected, whereas many cases are not. My Zugu cases, every one of them, has outlasted the many years I keep my devices and still look new. I have never lost an apple pencil as it stays securely on the top. If you are concerned about the security of that top pencil slot, like for travel, tuck the pencil into the elastic pocket on the back. The case opens to whatever angle you need with a magnet just right for keeping it in place, no slipping, yet it easily switches to another angle. Case fits securely and has never poped off by accident. I have been so happy with these cases on every model device I got. Every friend and family I have ever recommended it to has come back to thank me as they also became dedicated to the brand for its quality of materials, outstanding design and ability to be everlasting. I love my Zugu cases.

This is hands down the best case out there for landscape mode. The choice of 7 different angles is so convenient, and the magnets make your chosen angle lock in until you change it— unlike some other cases where the uprights can slip out of their slots and make the case collapse. As someone who often has her mini propped up atop a wobbly sofa cushion, I cannot emphasize enough how useful this is. As other reviewers have noted, the side of the case that has the pencil holder is soft and bendable, and adds a bit of bulk.. (It’s the upper edge in landscape mode.) I can see how that would make the case difficult to grip in portrait mode, IF you’re trying to grip from that side. But there’s an easy solution for that: Either hold it with your other hand, or rotate your screen so the pencil holder is on the other side. Honestly, I would have preferred a case without a pencil holder since I don’t use one, but its existence does not bother me. The opposite side of the case is comfortable enough to hold, and the slightly textured lining provides a good grip. And I’ve never once had a sense that my tablet was about to fall out the side. Another complaint raised in some reviews is that the cover magnets do not work for the mini 7. This is not true. I have a 7, and my cover magnets work fine. My last IPad case (for the mini 5) was also a Zugu, and I loved it for many years. Like that one, this is a substantial case. It’s not the lightest one out there (weight with mini inside is 1 lb 2 oz), but it offers great protection. And I think the design is geared more towards people who use it in landscape mode, on a table or a lap, where the weight doesn’t matter. All I can say is, I’ve never found it to be too heavy. The blue version of this case is a soft smoky blue, very understated. The berry color is more of a dusty mauve, not quite purple but definitely not pink. Both are lovely colors. I couldn’t decide which I liked more, so I bought both! If you’re on the fence about this case, just buy it. The pros most definitely outweigh any cons.

I have used these types of magnetic cases on all my tablets throughout the years. I love that this protector’s stand and cover are magnetically strong. My only concern for this case is that the edging will wear down over time from opening and closing and the same for the stand. The edging even around the screen seems a bit thin and weak as you try to pry open the cover and stand. There is a slight concern there as it pulls away easily with your fingers, but for now, it will do the job protecting the ipad as long as you are careful to open with care. Now, HOWEVER, not the pen so much. The pen holder is molded into the shape of the pen on the side of the cover so it fits right into that space. However, my magnet doesn’t seem very strong on my case. Maybe because the material is a bit too thick or the magnetic part is a bit weak - who knows! Mine just keeps falling out/off. I plan to get a bit creative/crafty to secure the pen from falling out. I have to do this soon as I do NOT want to lose my pen specifically between the lazy boy reclining couches. My gosh!!! What a pain to retrieve things from these couches!! Anyways, I do not want that hassle, so keeping the pen secure is a must. Maybe they could add an extra feature to secure the pen into the case, like a strong magnetic strap to cross over it or something. But over all, I know this review may sound a bit more negative than positive. I do recommend this case for the price and as long as you are careful around the edging, I think it will be a great investment. These types of cases have always been my favorite. I love how they have many slots to adjust how you want your screen to sit and again, magnets are strong (except pen for me), and the Material over the body is not slippery either so it does not slip through the fingers. It’s definitely a soft feeling. I will update on the material edge down the road as I use it. Only time can tell. Hope this helps.

So I've kind of became a fan of the Zugu cases. They are a tad more expensive than others, but they are very well built and last over time. I've had a Zugu cause on my iPad 11 M1 and also my iPad 11 M4, both are excellent cases. There are without a doubt other cases that provide more "bells and whistles", but if you just need a good protective case this is the one to get. Fits really well on the iPad Mini 6 and super easy to install and slide into a bag. I personally am not a fan of the pen holder on the back. So I was pretty impressed when I noticed they upgraded the design on the pen holder up top. Its recessed a little bit more and is more "molded" for the pen. I think the pen would be safe so long as you aren't getting to rough when getting it out or putting it in. 100% would buy again, and 100% will continue to support Zugu!

Mild concern is about the durability of the PU leather material. It's little heavy though to hold.

Ein wirklich geniales Case. Die Qualität ist enorm hoch und das Design wirkt so gut durchdacht, dass man direkt merkt, warum ZUGU so einen guten Ruf hat. Ja, das Case ist etwas schwerer als die typischen Billigvarianten, dafür bekommt das iPad aber einen Schutz, der wirklich ernst genommen werden kann. Nichts wackelt, nichts knarzt und das Gerät liegt sicher wie in einem kleinen Panzer. Besonders gefällt mir die Sache mit dem Stift. Ich kann ihn seitlich magnetisch anheften und dabei bequem laden lassen, was im Alltag super praktisch ist. Gleichzeitig gibt es hinten die zusätzliche Tasche, in der ich den Pencil verstauen kann, ohne dass er geladen wird. Gerade unterwegs ist das ein echter Pluspunkt, weil man den Stift nicht verliert und ihn trotzdem geschützt mitnehmen kann. Die unterschiedlichen Aufstellwinkel funktionieren stabil und kippen nicht sofort um. Zum Schreiben, Lesen oder Videoschauen wirklich gut nutzbar. Für das iPad mini ist es für mich die perfekte Hülle. Durchdacht, hochwertig und einfach zuverlässig. Ich bin total happy 😊 damit und würde sie jederzeit wieder kaufen.

J’avais déjà acheté cette coque pour mon iPad Pro, et j’en suis tellement contente que j’ai commandé la même coque pour mon iPad mini. Dû coup j’en ai pris deux pour un offrir un. Ultra stable et sécurisant, je recommande même si son prix est élevé , il en vaut la peine.
