Bond It Rescue Tape Self-Fusing Silicone Repair Tape 1 in x 12 ft Black

The tape did what I needed it to do: it covered up the white plumbers tape on the black shower rod. It was awesome!

I decided to give this a try after seeing the reviews. I have a leak in my kitchen sink on two PVC pipes. My landlord is very slow to fix things, so this was my temporary solution. (I don't want to move because my rent is exceptional and the neighborhood is great) I tried this on one side and used the whole roll to be absolutely certain that it would stay in place. Like other reviews mentioned, it is difficult for the tape to stick to anything but itself. I found that when I started wrapping the tape, I needed to hold one spot in place and then stretch the tape as far as I could and then start wrapping it around itself. Once I had the first wrap done, it was very easy for me to start building the other layers of tape around it. I ordered another roll for the other side of my sink and it has seemed to be holding up pretty well on each side. They have both been wrapped with tape for around 2 weeks. I noticed a tiny bit of leaking the first two-three days after wrapping, but now I see no leaks at all. I think over time, the tape fuses to itself more. I had to keep buckets under my sink for a long time and now I don't have to worry about them anymore.I understand that this is a temporary fix, but this was much easier (for the moment) than hassling my landlord or trying to replace the sink myself (which I really don't want to spend the money on). My advice to others would be to take your time while wrapping the tape around whatever you need to. If you have a bigger project, I would suggest buying two rolls at a time to be safe. It's quite easy to run out of one roll if you're not paying close enough attention like I did.I am satisfied with my purchase and it has provided me peace of mind with leaky sink pipes.

Pretty much a specialty product.Calling it 'tape' is kind of misleading. It is only adhesive to itself. But it does adhere to itself very well.It's more like a flexible, solid epoxy in a roll.In my humble opinion, it's prohibitively and unjustifiably expensive to use where another product, like duct tape or plumbers epoxy, will work. Will not work as a flat patch - must be wrapped and stretched and overlapped to stick to itself.In many cases it effects a permanent repair - garden hose, some electrical, and some non critical plumbing repairs. A non-accidental cooling hose leak on an automotive type engine would indicate replacing the hose is due at the earliest opportunity. But can make it a non-emergency situation.I highly recommend this product. It is incredibly good at what is's supposed to do. Just be sure to realize the limitations.

This stuff is amazing! But do multiple layers as well as half overlap.

I used this for its intended purpose which is mending a garden hose. I cleaned the hose. Let it dry in the sun. Wrapped the hose starting 3 inches from the hole and wrapped 3 inches beyond the hole on the other end. Six inches of wrap total and then wrapped it in reverse (per instructions) for the entire six inches. I let it set in the sun for the rest of the day to let it bond. The next day I turned on the water and used the hose not paying attention to the wrap. When I did notice the wrap it was a balloon about 3 inches long and sticking out from the hose 2 inches and the water was coming out at the end of the wrap. This is a definite return.

I really didn't think this would work, I then got a hot chip that melted my DeWalt hose and left a nail size hole. Followed the directions, wrapped it tight so it was thin to get back into the spring loaded automatic hose reel from DeWalt, it went back inside without a flinch. I was drastically surprised. I felt almost like it wasn't ready or was already used.... But it's normal. Once you start stretching and wrapping it sticks like an sob. It also starts to thin out as it gets activated making it great to wrap a rubber air hose. No leaks and were two or three months out using 175psi. Save yourself cutting and splicing hoses, not worth it. Safer, faster, more reliable than a splice. See for yourself, thank you!!!

Perfect! I am very familiar with a vet similar item. So glad I can get it on the open market.

It didn't live up to expectation. It broke apart as a soon there was pressure in the power steering pipe.

Fixed a leak perfectly.
