Good, compact lights: Poor battery replacement design (i.e., leeetle tiny screws x 4)
i received the 5X Ultra Bright LEDs from Amazon when promised and they're nice and bright, compact, very nice basic design. Light weight, easy to attach to clothing, bike frame, seat back (I ride a recumbent), bike rack etc.Drawbacks are the CR2032 batteries that you have to replace, which brings up my main complaints with this product and my suggestions for improving it:1 You need to take out four tiny, tiny little screws to get at the batteries. How about a quick release opening system? Because taking those little screws out is a maaaajor pain. I've already lost one of the four on the red light, they are so tiny. UPDATE: I found it on my hands and knees on the carpet, rubbing my hands back and forth because they're very hard to see once they fly off the table (which they do because they're so light and tiny. Now imagine you're on the road, it's night or raining, you're worried that you won't be seen by cars...and you've got to whip out this teeny tiny screwdriver they include in the kit to take this thing apart. Not really very practical.2 A longer/bigger handled screwdriver would help a lot. I'm going to buy one because this little thing that comes with the lights is hard to get enough leverage/torque with between thumb and forefinger to back these babies out...and it takes 10-15 turns at that, or so it seem. The phillips head end of the screw driver is the right size, it's the handle that's too small for the fair amount of torque you have to applyI don't have big fingers, about average, but what a lot of work: 5 minutes at least to get them all the way out, then back in, after figuring out other things like...which way do the batteries go? Yes, my bad, I didn't check before I took it apart the first time and there are four possible ways to do it. The right way: one up, one down. Good luck figuring out which is which if you don't pay attention when you take it apart.3 The battery markings inside the case aren't at all helpful. I'm used to the battery polarity (-/+) indicators stamped in plastic. On the lights, there's no easily understandable markings, and the battery contacts are no help because though you have to have one battery up and one down, it looks like it's meant to be both up and both down...but it's not.Positives: The compact, lightweight and attractive design are real winners. The lights are visible for some distance and the price is certainly attractive, if they hold up, prove to be weather-resistant , last very long on CR batteries etc.I don't regret buying them, but not looking forward to the next time I have to change the batteries.

LED lights are nice, Blue too bright, however I wish they used AA's and not button batteries
So far so good. I walk my dog every morning at 5:00am since its the only time of day in the summer its cool for him to walk. His fur is almost all black, and he is very hard to see in the early morning, and late at night. I put one of these on each side of his harness. The blue seems to be a little brighter than the red. However it could just be that the blue allows more light to pass through it. I like how they enclosed two extra 2032 button batteries. They clamp very tight on my dogs harness. I really wished they worked on AA batteries. However I bought 100 of the 2032 button batteries on Amazon for less than $8. I use those in a flashing dog leash I bought on Amazon. Altogether my dog has the blue and red flashing LED's on his harness, also a flashing blue LED collar, and flashing red LED dog leash. I also wear a flashing red LED bicycle flasher tucked in the back of my pants. The local police said they can spot me and my dog walking a mile away at night. I was hit about four years ago by a car while walking. However that was in broad daylight at noon. I wear the light because it someone hit me in broad daylight. I know its much worse at night.UPDATE: The blue LED light was TOO bright. It was just outright blinding attached to my dogs harness as he walked in front of me. It was distracting me while I walked in the dark. I returned this set and ordered the two red LED set.

Nice combo
I got these to use on a backpack when riding my motor scooter at night. I had been using a reflective vest, it wasn't working out as well as I thought. The backpack gives me more flexibility and easy storage space (one less item to tie down or cram in the limited storage space), and would cover the reflective vest from the rear. They feel sturdy, have a good strong clip and velcro straps if you want to wear it on an arm (the straps have a little stretch and are probably big enough to wear over a jacket sleeve (unless you ahre all pummped upp like Ahhnold Braunschweiger) :) The only criticism I have is the difference in light output--the blue one is very bright and should be visible from a good distance. The red one is not, but should still help alert traffic fairly close by. Hard to tell if it's the colored lenses or maybe the red one's been sitting on a shelf longer, so the batteries are weaker. Simple off-on-fast strobe-slow strobe operation, weigh so little, unless you can see their light, you might forget they're there.Pretty good for the price, esp with the extras (straps, 2 extra batteries and a tiny screwdriver for opening the unit to change the batteries). There are less expensive similar looking alternative, but I'd probably buy these again if needed

Excellent Safety LEDs!
Folks, I've bicycled to work for about 3-years and left my house at 0430 in the morning. I've used just about every good LED safety light you can imagine. But I bought these for my wife who walks every night (who almost was hit by an inattentive driver). Note that these are specifically made for joggers or walkers because they don't have seat post/handlebar mounts.Pros:- Small but powerful!- Durable, well-made - I dropped one on my tile floor but it kept on working.- SUPER Bright- 3 Flashing modes- Screws not snaps together for rock-solid construction.- Comes with it's own screwdriver for disassembly- Button is strategically placed on the bottom of the unit and can be operated by feel.- Clip is made of semi-soft plastic that appears won't harden and snap with time.- Inside of clip has soft teeth that will maintain a positive grip on clothing, belts, etc., without marring.- Comes in a package of 2, one red one white at a cost-effective price (cheap)Cons: NoneIf you're looking for a small but super-bright walking/jogging safety LED, look no further. Buy this and you won't be disappointed!Excellent Safety LEDs!
