The lighting mode “locks” a few seconds after you stop pressing the button. So, unlike every other light I’ve used that has a single button used as both on switch and mode selector, you do not have to “cycle” back to off. Once the mode is locked, a single press turns the light off. Such a simple thing, but it really sets this light apart from the thousand others being sold on Amazon.Otherwise, the magnet in the clip is the perfect strength for the application and the (very small) weight of the light. It’s somehow strong enough to hold securely even to thicker clothing like a hoodie but not so strong that it’s hard to take off. It’s also very convenient that I can keep the light on my fridge so I always know where it is.The light does its job well. It clearly illuminates 1-2 feet in front of me and drops off over the 3-5 foot range.The only issue I’ve had at all is that I’m sometimes not able to clip the light to the top of my shirt because with something lower-cut like a scoop neckline, the angle gets weird and the light is way too bright to have it in my peripheral vision without affecting my ability to see. More a logistical issue than anything—I’ve had no problem working around it.I am planning on buying more of see as stocking stuffers for Christmas.
