Q: Rats are eating the bait without setting off trap...peanut butter bait cup is nibbled to empty. Anyone found a solution?

Here is the answer. Take a half of a peanut and GLUE it to the bottom of the cup. Then smear a very small amount of peanut butter on and around the nut. This works because when they try to extricate the nut using force the trap will engage.

Q: I set 3 traps in our garage. A rat was caught 30 minutes ago, but is still moving! Is this normal??

We have caught dozens of rats with these traps and they are rarely dead. If you don’t mind finishing them off these will work for you. I personally find it horrible and cannot do it.

Q: will these harm squirrles ?

Yes they definitely will. My pest control company says legally, they cannot set them outside because they can catch birds, squirrels, cat paws, dogs... they are really strong and effective for killing rats but you want to be careful. I don't know if they would kill a squirrel but I'd be careful setting them outside.

Q: Will this fit under the hood of my Camry? Rats are devastating wires under the hood. He's there almost every morning working away on his nest...

Rats are attracted to the rubber hoses and plastic coverings on your wires on your Camry, as they make the wire/rubber with corn based products in china. Spray your rubber hoses/wire with Simple Green cleaner. Rats and mice hate it.
