This dehumidifier is drawing lots of water from the air since it's been extremely humid here lately with a daytime rH around 80% and the nighttime rH at 100%. The room I'm using it in measures about 157 square feet (1280 cubic feet) and I'm emptying the half gallon water bin 2-3 times a day. Thought about using the continuous drain hose with a plastic tote yet I'd most likely forget to empty it and make a mess everywhere. I don't mind emptying and like that it beeps to notify when it's full. One of the reviewers was upset and gave one star because they misunderstood the water capacity amount vs the average number of pints that can be extracted in a 24 hour timeframe based upon air temperature and rH. 30 pints is 4.5 gallons so obviously it's not going to hold that much in the tank. LoL It'd be super heavy and tough to empty if it held that much.The bogus bad reviews made me hesitant to choose this seller yet I'm very happy that I did. The shipping was fast and the packaging was solid with plenty of cushion. Am glad too since the Amazon warehouse put the box on it's side inside of a bigger box without any padding, even though the arrows say this side up, fragile, handle with care. That being said I made sure to unbox and let it sit for more than the minimum 24 hours before plugging it in. When it powered up the room's rH was a dangerous 84%, yet i literally watched the numbers drop to 60% within hours. Sweet relief from humidity.It does produce some heat when the compressor is running, yet it's quiet with a lower decibel level than the other seven 30 pint dehumidifiers that I had in my Amazon cart for several days while debating on the best choice in terms of quality, efficiency, and affordability. Would definitely recommend this seller and their products based upon the pleasant shopping experience and the relief that this machine provides to me, an asthmatic who lives in a humid area and can't afford air conditioning. The heat that it emits will be nice from October until May when it's cool outside, because this room is always humid even during the cold months. Whenever the air gets too hot I simply power it off and put the fans on high speed. Then I turn it back on after awhile and watch the rH gradually drop from +80% to 60-65%. Worth every penny. This is a really good dehumidifier for small areas like a bathroom, bedroom, etc... It's very quiet and it does a good job of pulling moisture out of the air. Sometimes having to empty it twice a day.The Good ..Quiet.Self defrost.Has a tank or can use a drain hose.Small, easy to find a spot to place it.The Bad ..Only good for smaller areas.The lights/display is very bright and can't be dimmed.Tank is small, has to be emptied up to twice in a 24hr period.Would I buy again? Well I already have. I liked my first one so much I got another one for the bedroom. I would have given 5 Stars but the display brightness and tank size made me give it just 4. But if you need a good dehumidifier that you can barely hear running you can go wrong with this one

This dehumidifier is simply exceptional!It’s lightweight, smooth-rolling wheels and makes repositioning a breeze. Its functions are straight forward & modern design blends into any room. The size is great at 18.5”, photo shows unit next to a youth mini guitar.Crucially, it's incredibly efficient at removing humidity and still working great after over 2 months of use.Even with Michigan's high humidity, it keeps the level at a desired & perfect level, necessitating a few daily tank empties.Highly recommended. I'm buying a second unit for a birthday gift.

I purchased this for my master bedroom and bath since my walk-in closet is in my bathroom. I was so tired of my smaller unit and the disposable bags. This model is wonder very efficient, easy to use, and does a terrific job removing the moisture. The water bin has a cover so when you remove it no water splashes. You can also select night mode which is even quieter, and mode options to meet your needs. Can't say enough glad I made this purchase.

The dehumidifier came in factory packaging (with Styrofoam keeping it in place) and that box was inside a larger Amazon box. No damage to either. However, when took the unit out from the factory box, I noticed that there was a spot of something that had leaked near what is supposed to be the top of the box. I had hopes that it was no big deal since who knows what direction the box was in during it's journey to my house... however after a full weekend of testing, I can say with confidence that it arrived broken. It would power on, the fan would run, and it would act like it was doing something. But after running for probably 48 hours total in several different location in the basement, the only liquid it was able to produce was more of it's own lubrication/oil and zero water.Returning immediately for a refund.
