I am nuts about these nuts
I create custom tools for maple syrup production and these work great. They are good quality and a good price.

Good value.
I like the fact that they are almost 2 inches long VS other being under a inch. I like the idea of the threads parts making a longer connection as it gives it more strength.

Full threads
Apparently 1/2" coupling nuts are on the supply chain disruption list - I hadn't been able to find any in a three city radius - all hardware/home center stores were sold out. Would have saved many trips to the several stores if I had just bought them here. One difference that these had than what I had sourced locally before: these are threaded all the way through and don't have "view ports" to confirm seating. This actually works better for my use but you could potentially thread one rod further than the other.

Just what I needed
All my local home improvement centers only stock short coupling nuts, these are twice as long and perfect for my project. Accurate item description leaves nothing to guess, big plus.

Works for my 1"-8 TPI lathe headstock
Bought these and some threaded rod to hold the faceplate so I can knock the corners off bowl blanks. Worked great

If you need a special nut to make your 1" rod longer these are the nuts for you. They will keep your rod long and strait!

Stand offs work great for wood stove and last.
I used these standoffs to add heat shields to my wood stove, perfect for that. Four heat shields and two standoffs each located diagonally on each panel.
