Replaced a 25 year old Aube floor thermostat that was still working
When I installed my floor heating system 25 years ago it came with a 120V timer control and 120V thermostat. I had to provide two electrical boxes one for each, but when the timer died rather than replace it with another timer I just upgraded the existing Aube thermostat to this one. Like this one SO much better as it's easier to program and works better IMO than the old one. The four schedule changes per day and 7 day a week programming gives us great flexibility to meet our floor heating needs. It's been cold this winter so having the floor start at 6AM makes for an enjoyable get out of bed experience. Cover plate for old timer box in pictures.

works great for our studio, finally have a steady temp!
We bought this thermostat because I installed two similar models in our house and they worked wonderfully. I also wanted the thermostats to match. All of our heating is forced air (fan) electric wall units. We have a 110 and 220v heater in our house, and the studio has a 110v. This model installed easily and works perfectly. I don't mind that there is only one "home" temp and one "away" temp. These settings meet our needs. When we leave for a weekend or vacation we simply switch to the "away" mode, which is a 3rd temp, but will hold the temp until you return even if there is a normal schedule change.Works perfectly with our Cadet forced air wall heaters. The 15 minute on/off cycle is ideal for fan-based heaters. Also, the backlight and clean design are a wonderful bonus. We've never had a problem with our other thermostats like this one, and we've had them for years!

Bringing intelligence to simple electric heaters!
Paired with a Qmark Toe Kick heater, these two devices have been game changers for my master bathroom, which is unfortunately located above my garage and contains a lot of tile that does a good job of re-radiating the cold in the winter. The Aube allows me to set the program for the heater across seven days and four dayparts - ensuring the room is warm when I want it to be and not wasting electricity when we're not using it. My only complaint is that the programming is not as intuitive as it might be. The manual does a decent job of explaining it - but you'll probably need to refer to the manual again in the future (at least I did) to remember what you did. It does a good job and I'd buy it again.

Great, but regularly test the GFI and install in a larger than norm electric box
I first bought this thermostat under the Suntouch name. It was a great functioning thermostat, but its directions did not emphasize you need to have a larger box for installation. Over 3 years the heat damaged the wiring to the point it melted all of the connection caps, most of the wiring and melted much of the electrical box. Amazingly, it kept working AND my house didn't burn down. I looked and found this one and without knowing the damage behind the main device, I replaced the panel with this new one and it almost instantly tripped is internal GFI. So, long story short, replaced the thermostat and this one is working great, much cooler and in a bigger box. My thought is it is a fantastic thermostat and checking the GFI every so often, as recommended is a good idea. I have 120 sq feet of underfloor heat connected to it, I love the pre-programmed schedule and would recommend this to anyone with the caveat of 1) test the GFI when you test your smoke detectors and 2) install it in a larger than standard electrical box.

Use A Control Circuit And A Contactor
This is a nice device. It’s been in use for some time now. I’ve installed so many similar devices like this that have “rated" contacts. Many burn up over time and need to be replaced. In my opinion, with the cost of these devices, it’s well worth it to use a control circuit and contactor. It’s much cheaper and easier to replace a definite purpose contactor (if, or when it goes bad), than it is to replace and reprogram a thermostat.

Nice upgrade with ambient temperature sensing
Having just bought a house with a heated tile floor, the previous owner said it was "broken". After digging around, the problems was that the installer did not hook up a temperature sensor to an older version of this thermostat. The older thermostat was looked exactly the same as this except it had a "Nuheat label on it AND it was unable to measure the ambient temperature. With the older thermostat not connected to a temperature sensor, the thermostat always thought the floor was cold and turned on the power to the floor. Even if you program the "off time", you can't set the low temperature low enough to have the termostat turn off. It ended up being a very expensive on-off switch for the floor. Also, these floors take a good hour or more to warm up. The BIG advantage to this termostat is that it's a newer version that can sense the ambient temperature of the room. This allows you to set the on/off schedule based on room temperature. The other big advantage is this one costs $50 'ish and the ones from Nuheat are around $200.

Better than you know
As others have said this is a fantastic unit -- backlighting, no battery, easy to program. However, it is better than advertised; I do not know how you can verify this for future units, but the unit I bought from MRSUPPY was really a TH115-A/F/AF-120S controller. That is, as per the manufacture spec PDF file, it has internal switches to allow you to change it from Air, Floor or Air and Floor sensing. This will allow you to connect the remote floor sensor (I assume the one listed by Amazon) to allow it to control your heated floor. There is no need to buy the F only unit for twice the price. I suspect the TH115-F-120S controller is the same unit but just packaged with a $12 remote sensor sold for an extra $60 or more ;-)

Super product for your heated bathroom floor
Read up on this product which also sells for about half as much as others in the store (Menards) yet, does more than twice as much. Easy to wire up and the programmablity is fairly straight forward. Gives up time-date- current floor temp and then you can adjust for new temp. Unit will indicate when its 'on' and the numbers/letters are big enough to read for us older guys. I also like the foldout panels which stores more buttons to operate, yet they 'disappear' when the panels are closed making for a 'clean looking' unit. Very pleased with the purchase.
