Used a non AIS vintage 55mm f1.2 Nikkor lens on my Canon M50 and works like a charm.
I have a collection of Nikkor and Nikon lenses from my Nikon F3 Collection and was hoping to find a way to use them on my Canon M50 and this does the job as described. Things you should be aware of are that you need to able a setting on the M50 to make it fire and that the EF-M mount is for APS-C sensors which means your images will be cropped when using a Full-Frame lens. Other than that, this item does the job, and would definitely recommend it as its sturdy and has been working flawlessly over the past couple of months.

Works perfectly with my Canon M5
I bought this as I have a Nikon DSLR and wanted to use my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 on my Canon M5. I knew it would only work in manual focussing and my sigma allows me to change the aperture on the lens so all ok. Connected it to my camera, attached the lens and fired the shutter and nothing happened. A quick google search and in the cameras custom menu you have to set the camera to allow shutter to be fired without a lens attached. Did that and all works perfectly as it should.

Excellent choice
Great adapter, fits well and snug, stylish blue metal and perfect to convert FD lenses to fit on a EOS-M50 camera body. Some lenses wobble a little while others do not, yet they are all well secured and work well. I only wish it had come with caps on both ends for storage. Btw, you can remove the tripod holder.Note: to clarify the focus question, the camera auto puts itself in manual focus mode, but don't expect the adapter to turn the focus and exposure wheels on the lens for you.Don't forget to enable the "custom function: enable shooting without lens" in your EOS-M shooting menu to use this adapter mount.

Meat-and-Potatoes adapter to let Canon EOS M-100 use Minolta Rokkor lenses
Sorry for the verbose headline. But reviews for similar products by the same manufacturer tend to get tossed in the same virtual bucket, leading to confusion. This review is ONLY about the Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter for Minolta Rokkor manual-focus lenses. Yes, manual-focus lenses. This product will NOT allow you to use Minolta autofocus lenses, nor does it pretend to.I recently inherited a clutch of vintage Minolta Rokkor-X lenses, and decided to give these lenses new life by using them on a digital body. Hence the need for this adapter. Works like a charm, fits securely, sturdily-built, introduces no light leaks, and allows me to use those wonderful 1970s optics with my Canon EOS M100 body. Well worth the money, in my opinion. I can't imagine how the Canon-made adapter could possibly be better. In case you aren't 100% clear on this, you will still have to manually focus and select the appropriate f stops by hand using your Minolta lens. The adapter will not magically transfer your Canon's digital photography wizardry into a manual prime lens that is over 40 years old. You need to set your Canon to fully manual, and you need to be sufficiently proficient in photographic basics that you can recognize when an image is in focus and how to properly select ISO and apeture. The adapter cannot help you with this.Minolta's products may not have had the wide professional use of Canon or Nikon products back in the day, but their lenses were among the most desired of serious photography prosumers. I am truly grateful that I can use these superior optics in my digital photography today.

PLEASE READ THIS. There are 2 models of this adapter...
One model's description is "Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter - Canon EOS (EF / EF-S) D/SLR Lens to Canon EOS M (EF-M Mount) Mirrorless Camera Body" and the other one's description is "Fotodiox Pro Lens Mount Auto Adapter - Canon EOS (EF / EF-S) D/SLR Lens to Canon EOS M (EF-M Mount) Mirrorless Camera Body - with Full Automated Functions".The first one DOES NOT HAVE ANY ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS and the second one does. What makes this worse is that they also share the same reviews, which is utterly confusing. I bought the first one, not realizing that there were 2 different adapters, and immediately noticed that there were no contacts in the adapter that I received. No contacts = no electrical connection for auto focus, image stabilization ect. When I re-read the reviews, I couldn't understand how some people were getting automatic functions when the adapter clearly had no way to do this, then I investigated further and found out that there are 2 totally different adapters.I sent this one back and ordered the other one. We'll see how the other one performs.
