Why would one choose ocean forest (blue bag) potting soil over the brown bag of happy frog potting soil -- for houseplants?

Both soils include earthworm castings, aged forest products, and bat guano. Ocean Forest is richer in nitrogen from the added blend of crab meal, fish emulsion, and bat guano (no need to add nitrogen fertilizer at first). Happy Frog has mycorrhizae and is amended with soil microbes to improve root development and encourage nutrient uptake. Happy Frog also has less perlite than Ocean Forest so it will hold more water. Both Ocean Forest and Happy Frog are premium soils.

Does it come in the original packaging or does it come in a box or bag? I can't have it left outside my apartment door with it saying potting soil

Your apartment building doesn't allow potting soil? What do they expect you to grow your weed in? ;) Mine came inside an amazon box

Would this mix good with fox farm trio nutrients?

Yes it would. Fox Farm has a feeding schedule you can follow on their website, I would recommend doing half of dosages and work up to recommend dose. I didn’t start feeding till 3rd week of life. Hope this helps.
