Atari VCS - Classic Wireless Controller

It has good build quality and a good design.

These controllers feel great , and are well built ,but not as well made as the joypad. However the paddle function is a bonus ,and At $27 they're a steal.

I bought this to use with classic games on Retropie. It’s very difficult to configure it to work properly in Retropie and even when it does work it does not work very well. It might work OK with the standard Atari Console that it was designed to work with but I do not have that so I cannot comment on that. I may return this since my. Xbox controller was cheaper and works better for my purposes.

For the price it's good. Works well.Wish it had a pong paddle on it.

This controller feels alike old version. Designed for Atari VCS 800 console / PC hybrid. Not for 2600+ or 7800+.

I could tell the moment I unboxed this thing just how cheap it was. The joystick feels like that plastic roll inside of receipt paper, and it feels terrible to use, it's too short and has almost no tactile feedback. The spinner function is also unusable unless you have the actual VCS PC, otherwise it just registers as half of the analog X-axis and is useless. There's also a highly noticeable lag over wireless, which is better over a wire but I don't need another wired Atari joystick. This controller is literally a piece of junk with a pretty design, but don't let any of that fool you. Unless you plan to leave it in a shelf as a decoration, avoid this joystick like the plague and look into the Hyperkin Trooper 2.
