Good for shorter duration
Great if you're there for a shorter duration. If backpacking for longer you probably want to get the fuller version.

Great little pocket guide.
This is a great little pocket guide. Packed with useful and helpful information. AND at a good price!My only criticism is the index, why split it up? I think we can handle one comprehensive index rather than have 3, I still think there is nothing on say a temple or beach and find I'm looking in the food index. D'oh!

Handy Little Guide
Bought this a few days before I left for Bali. It was so handy to help plan my days out and a good starting point for advice on which activities to consider. It also gave lots of tips and advice on the little things you are likely to forget when travelling to a different country. Would recommend as a starting guide to planning your trip!

Where to avoid?
Reminded me of the scene in The Beach about how Lonely Planet ruins destinations, on the plus side anywhere not in this book is probably worth a look, unless mass tourism is your thing in which case do you really need a guide, just follow your nose... Really good quality photos and paper though just a shame about the content.

very uninformative
Only covers a very small area of Bali so it should NOT be called a guide to the island

Out of date
This copy is very out of date with passages directly lifted from a copy of loney planet which was over 10 years old

If you are looking for a whole island pocket book, try elsewhere
