Very functional, pretty, and can magnetize to a work surface
I got the palette with 14 full pans; it's about the width of my phone plus a few inches in length, very comfortable to hold in one hand and easy to fit in a bag. It arrived a day late due to the mail courier, but it was in pristine condition. The mixing flap didn't open all the way down to rest on the work surface at the correct angle at first, but I just had to gently flex it to loosen the hinge and now it opens perfectly and still shuts securely. The lid opens all the way to sit flat on the work surface as well. I love that I can store an assembled water brush in the center space along with a 5mL tube of white gouache. If yours arrives with the pans loose or held too tight, you just need to flex the metal holding flaps in a little to adjust the tension. The full pans are great; they accommodate a size 12 round brush comfortably without contaminating neighboring pans. I love that the purple galaxy print makes it easy to spot and distinguish from other people's palettes in a class. I keep my paint swatch reference card under the tray of pans, which makes the whole thing rattle less.

Full sized pans
These tins are very portable plus having full size pans takes the worry of running out of color. The mixing areas are adequate and the hinged plate helps keep it tidy. I plan to remove my pans and clean them as i go. Its troublesome, but i want my colors on the paper not all over my kit. As an illustrator they are much more suited than using tubes. You can customize your palettes as you develop your styles.

Sweet Palette
Very sweet palette for on the go painting. I use it for my outside space and has been really easy to mix with plenty of slots to add tube paint.

A good buy, but I had one set back personally
I bought the 14 full pan a while back and then decided to get the 8 full pan. I’m disappointed to find that the full pans are not quite the same size. I’m sure they hold roughly the same amount, but they’re shaped slightly differently. Both are from the same company. I was hoping to be able to switch pans between the two pallets if I desired to, but that’s a complete no go. Overall the quality is good. And I’ll likely by another 8 pan because I do like this size for travel.

Use This Tip To Prevent Beading of Water On This Palette!
I love this palette and highly recommend it. I bought the palette with 26 empty half pans, and I was able to line the middle with an additional 11 pans (I had to buy these separately) to make my palette hold 37 colors. With the pans in the middle, I had to stick magnets on the bottom (the ones that often come with pans) since they don't have any clips holding them down. The 26 pans that came with the palette are easily clipped in place and do not need magnets. The mixing surfaces right out of the box are not really usable - the paints bead on them. However, there is a quick easy trick that fixes this, just take a wet magic eraser and rub it on the surface you want to mix on for 10-20 seconds, then the surface no longer beads. See my video if you want to see the before and after. Once I did this, I've been able to use the surfaces very effectively to mix on. The pans that come with the palette are the perfect size. They stay in place well even when the palette is shaken up, which means this is good to travel with if needed. The top stays firmly closed even when jostled around. And I love the design on the front, it's super cute. Overall I would highly recommend this palette, just make sure you prep the surfaces before using it to mix on.

Can hold 20 half pans!
I was hoping this would fit more half pans down the middle, and it does! It will hold 20 half pans altogether. Seems like a nice little palette, and as a person who likes a larger selection of colors, it is great. I just stuck some half pans from my other palette into this one for the photo.

Great organizer and palette for water colors
I had a bunch of tubes of random colors of Windsor Newton, Grumbacher and PWC watercolors stored in a tupperware not getting much use and drying out in the tubes. I bought the Looneng empty watercolor palette to organize and re-prime the paints. It is just the right size and has ample space for all my paints plus a lot of surface areas for mixing paints. The metal surfaces are pretty slick and the water beaded up on them. I did a little light sanding with a fine nail file to roughen up the surfaces and now the water and paints mix much better with no beading. Some of my drier paints in the tubes required me to cut open the tubes and mix them with a little gum arabic to get them to set into the half pans. It was easy to label the white plastic pans with the paint brand and color on the bottom and sides of the pans with a water resistant fine line pen, that way, when I run low on the paint, I can reference the label and re-fill the pan with the same paint. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants easy access to their watercolors and an all-in-one paint storage and mixing palette. It's pretty lightweight for a metal storage tin and seems pretty durable so far.

Fits watercolour pans very well
Very nice palette that fits watercolor pans in it. I used half pans and found the all clipped in very well. It was also able to fit more half pans in the middle slot if they were placed sideways. So, all together I was able to fit 37 half pans, which is a lot of colour options while still remaining very portable.

A great little palette for portable watercolour painting
I got this palette to try plein air painting. It's nice and compact and has decent mixing space. On the box it says it's for 12 half pans but there's actually 14 (2 rows of 7). Also, in the centre gap you can fit in at least 4 additional empty half pans. I've filled it with my tube paints in the photo.
