CNSTiming Chain Kit, Primary Tensioner, and Oil Pump Compatible/Replacement for 02-07 CHRYSLER/DODGE 2.7L (2736cc) 167ci DOHC 24V V6, EER

This kit has been installed for just over 1 year in my son's intrepid. So far it has functioned as expected. This job does require an assortment of tools and some skill to complete. In this car the entire upper engine had to be cleaned by hand. A sludge build up of course. Engine now uses synthetic oil to prevent this.This is a kit for the chain and related components. It did include an oil pump. I used it even though the old one was okay. I used pre-lube on all moving parts.Water pump was purchased separately. I have to say this timing chain kit worked as expected. With only 13 months of service (roughly 30,000 miles) it ahs held up.I would buy this again.

Good parts so far don’t have it all the way together yet but all good so far.

It was the right part that I had requested, my mechanic Is Installing It, at first I was hesitant about ordering car parts through Amazon but now It's how I do It.

This is the OLD SPEC, recalled heavy timing chain that was part of a recall from OEM due to it being too heavy and causing the failure of the water pump bearings due to it's excessive weight. While it might work for a while, it has been replaced/superseded with a lighter chain with different sprockets, If you buy it and realize it too late, you can't return it if you open the package!!! I have included pictures showing the difference between the two styles of sprockets.Look at the one on your vehicle and buy the right one, you should consider upgrading to the lighter chain for the 2.7L dodge and Chrysler engine. Unfortunately I got stuck with it.

there are 2 choices for the cam/timing gear kit came with only one which was wrong for 2003 sebring wasted over 2 hours trying to figure out NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!
