One of the things I liked most about this product is how easy it is to use; you can take it anywhere, and you simply turn it on after inserting the fuel cartridge. We often go out into the countryside, and on many occasions, aerosol insect repellent just isn't enough. However, the experience with this Thermacell device was undoubtedly different, as it truly keeps mosquitoes away from our immediate area, leaving the space completely mosquito-free. It was amazing for my family and me, as we can enjoy nature more without having to deal with the discomfort caused by mosquitoes at this time of year. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone; not only does it work perfectly, but it is also very easy to use and comes at an incredible price.

I tried a lot of things to solve the mosquito problem on our patio, but this is the first one that actually worked, eliminating the "no-see-um" mosquitoes that have tormented me. I turn it on each morning while making coffee, then go out with the dog and set it on the floor at my feet, and enjoy God's beautiful creation. My legs used to be covered in bites, but no more. It has worked flawlessly for 4 years. It just stopped working so I called the company with the details and they said I did everything right and so they are sending me a replacement. I was blown away. It's 4 years old! Now that's great customer service. Highly recommended for anyone living in mosquito country.

I bought this because my dad has them for when we go to the lake in Oklahoma. He uses them in the Denver area other times and overall they seem to repel well. We usually put two out to get full coverage. However. I live in the mountains, about 2000ft higher than Denver and it would not work at that altitude. I don’t know what altitude it stops at exactly but it works at 5000 feet and doesn’t at 7200. Could be I got a messed up cartridge but I also think it’s likely the altitude is messing things up. Just be aware!

The Thermacell Mosquito repellent includes a 12-hour refill that works up to a 15-foot zone. We are able to enjoy the outside patio, BBQ, or just enjoy the outdoors without being bothered by mosquitoes. The heat activated mat releases the repellent into the air that creates a barrier from the bugs. It is so easy to use and is rechargeable. The outdoors is enjoyable again!

I read many reviews and most loved this, however, unless you put on a floor (lowest level) it's not that affective. Turn on at least 15 minutes before use. The blue pad you insert is definitely completely used "within one hour" therefore this product can get quite expensive if you need to refill more often than expected. In addition it does not handle a 15' Zone, actually much smaller of an area. My husband and I were sitting at a table on our lanai across from each other and the distance is only less than 5' so we kept having to move it and finally we had to sit side by side to have some favorable results. I will try it again to see IF it works better the next time. It does help somewhat although not nearly as much as many have claimed. Hopefully next time it's better...

I got the fuel zone guard base in glacial blue last week. It's compact, easy to set up and really works - for more than mosquitoes - we had gnats but they are gone since setting the Thermacel on top of the fridge. It's compact enough that, when I was BBQing last week I grabbed it to help control bugs on the patio!

Be aware, the manufacturer has cheapened the product by NO LONGER SUPPLYING THE WEATHERPROOF CAP. The device is the same and works fine but now you can't leave it out on the deck. Photo shows my old orange one and the new blue one with the extra old orange cap I saved from the one I tossed. It still fits but looks like crap. Honestly, what could this cap cost? A few pennies saved for the maker, a constant pain for the user.

It seems like nothing really stops mosquitoes, but this works surprisingly well! The radius is correct, there is not a strong scent, these are easy to pack and refills are available. One downfall is the refill kits are more expensive than I anticipated. This comes with everything you need in the box .
