We have this version of the Thermacell repellant as well as the lantern. This is a great size to take when we go fishing or for a picnic. We use the lantern regularly on our front porch and deck which is surrounded by trees (=bugs) and it is very effective against mosquitos. That says a lot because I am a mosquito magnet.

The product works great in an enclosed area such as a screen room or a large tent.Haven’t tried it outside in the open yet so can’t really comment on that aspect of its use.The only drawback that I’ve noticed is it is sometimes difficult to get the butane to ignite(takes multiple attempts but only sometimes).Otherwise,when it’s working it does its job.Very portable,convenient and simple to use(other than the occasional igniting issue).

I literally stood next to this thing and got bitten about 12 times in five minutes. I was really really hoping it would work because I am clearly plagued by mosquitoes every summer. Here’s just two of the bites while standing next to it. I wish I was on video because I watched one land on me after I took the photo, lol ugh.

Last for hours. Keeps the bugs away. Good for camping or sitting on back deck enjoying nature.
