Bought these G4 light bulbs for my range hood. After a couple minutes of being on, they start dimming.

G4 bulb is dimmable, which can be adjusted according to the brightness you want.

How hot do they get? I want to use one in a clock radio to replace the burned out incandescent.

They are halogen, same as incandescent so yes, hot!
