sort of like locking my vision into my near vision prescription bi-focal
It is ONLY but AT LEAST ok. I have used the Viscare for several months, but STILL, my eyes cannot look at my iPhone screen for more than a few minutes without causing severe vision focus distortion, sort of like locking my vision into my near vision prescription bi-focal. Something is either missing from this product or the iPhone is causing a separate and unblocked type of damage to my eyes. It takes up to 10 minutes for my eyes to regain normal distance vision. I have tried to use the warm and brightness settings but these help by only a minor degree and increase my iPhone viewing time by a few minutes before it degrades them to the near focal setting of my eyeglasses. I believe that there is something very bad happening to the eyes of our entire generation caused by all modern blue light generating devices, even the newer generation tv screens, and older eyes are the first to perceive the greatest harm. I can use the Original Kindle with the gray background and type without any background light for hours upon hours with absolutely no distortion or weariness in my eyes, but put me on anything with backlit color and my eyes start to degrade. Someone company engineer should come up with a white slate background that the color appears on top of, in the same manner as a printed page appears when printed. There has to be a way to get rid of the damage from the Blue light Visual tech that we are all being exposed to. I seriously believe that everyone using it is risking their eyes in the long run, and most of this country will have visual macular damage and a level of blindness when we grow older. My eyes are experiencing it now, and I may have to give up the present tech and go retro on my computer monitors and phones in order to return to where my eyes were before the iPhone and modern displays. I can remember when I used to spend hours on my Sony all in one (yr 2000 LT 21 or so model)---and never had anything other than tired eyes after 12-16 hour workdays writing. Then I got a 2008 mac large screen and I felt a difference immediately. My wife's 2010 13" mac laptop is even worse, so I know it is tied to the new screen tech. In the good old days, the CRT screens were known to affect pregnant women's fetus' and still, they were less harmful to the eyes. The best screen I had was a Dell 17" laptop E1700, anti-glare and 1920 x 1200 or so resolution on a smaller screen...I'm seriously considering going back to this tech, or a monitor based upon the same tech By the way, in the old days of CRT monitors affecting the fetus,' the monitor industry turned a blind eye to it and denied it for many years until the evidence was overwhelming. It would be sad if this entire generation using the new tech has to endure permanent eye damage before something is invented to eliminate it and not just "HELP" as the Viscare does. We need to rethink the tech, and if Amazon could design a White Slate Background with color tech without backlighting, so it would essentially be a Slate Magazine, we all would be better off. So what that it requires ambient light to view it, there is always light around or you just turn on a lamp. Viscare is a small step forward, but we need a giant step FOR HUMANKIND'S SAKE. Good luck to all of us.

Good quality
Very stylish, fits over my rather thick polycarbonate prescription frames. Just be deliberate taking them on and off and you shouldn’t have any problems like the gripper covers coming off. If they do, there are spare gripper covers provided. Comes in a very nice case with cleaning cloth.

My Blue Light Special, LOL
I use these basically for driving at night and to block any blue light at my house in the evening. (TV, LED lights etc.). They clip on very easily and have a nice case, when not in use. They are not intrusive at all, as a matter of fact, I was using them for two days before my wife noticed them. I also know they work because my prescription glasses won't change to sunglasses when I'm in the sun when these are clipped on. I checked on purpose. Great buy! Only complaint, the price, but I guess you get what you pay for. DMA

Very happy with this purchase.
I could not concentrate when I was working under LED lights, and florescent lights. When I would walk out of the room where I worked, I would immediately feel better and I never had problems with incandescent or natural lighting. So I know it was the combination of the lights and the computer which was causing this. LED and florescent give off strong blue lights also in addition to the the computer. I was also getting headaches, dry eyes, and would feel tired all the time.I had been to an eye specialist, and was told I had dry eyes that is why I am having problems. To combat this, I wear 20% pink tinted prescription eyeglasses. This tint reduces the blue light also. These clip on glasses are much better than the 20% pink tint, I immediately felt better after putting them on to my other prescription glasses with clear lenses.

Satisfied
These glasses are a little bit lighter than I thought they would be, but if they do the trick, then that's okay. My old blue-blocker glasses are a much darker orange, but they got scratched up over the course of time. Because these are lighter, colors aren't distorted, e.g. traffic lights when I'm driving, which is a good thing. I thought they would flip up, but they don't. That's not critical though, since they don't distort colors. I like that the size of the clip-on piece is minimal so it doesn't interfere with vision.

No more squinting for an hour after leaving work!
Just got these yesterday and tried them at work today. I am a "vintage-aged" office worker and was having quite a bit of trouble looking at the computer monitor----it was so bright that I had to squint the whole time I was in front of the computer. And, even worse, I was left squinting and unable to tolerate any amount of bright light for about 1 hour after leaving work. These seem to have alleviated my problem---was at the computer for 3 hrs straight today and did not end up squinting!! And I wasn't inclined to keep squinting for a while after I left work! Also received multiple replacement covers for the pieces that clip onto your glasses, which was a nice touch included by the seller. Case is sturdy too!

POOR QUALITY / DISAPPOINTED
Bought these on 2 May, only three months ago. Have been pleased with their effectiveness at reducing computer eye strain without darkening the room too much......but just took them off my glasses to wash them and the rubber covering that is over the clamp which holds these onto the glasses has split open and the wire underneath poked out and scratched my glasses. I didn't expect superb for only twenty bucks......but only three months of use before falling apart? I wouldn't be complaining if they'd lasted at least a year. I'm an old lady, and I have have treated this product with care. Very gentle handling and only got removed from my dedicated computer glasses for cleaning purposes. I'm very disappointed in the lack of durability and poor quality of this product. Amazon return date is gone by. I've basically tossed twenty dollars into the trash. If you're looking to ease eye strain at your computer.....look at a different brand name than these.

Very Helpful
These clip ons really help to relieve eye strain when watching TV (online or otherwise) and using computer and tablet. The clips are not very tight but I can live with that being as I didn't spend the £500 the optician had quoted for transitions lenses last visit (that I decided not to buy!)

Eye safety and instant relief
After reading an article in WebMD (a source I trust) about the possibility of eye damage, in particular macular degeneration, due to blue light, I started looking for filtering lenses.I am already at risk of macular degeneration. As well as using screens I like to do embroidery and I need bright light for this; the magnifying light I use tires my eyes very quickly. I was dismayed to learn how damaging, not just tiring, blue light can be. Obviously I want to preserve my eyesight for as long as possible. These lenses clip easily onto my ordinary specs and are nice and light. I felt the difference instantly when using my phone and laptop, although I haven't yet tried sewing with them. They come with spare rubber bits to put on the clips that come into contact with the spectacle lenses, and they arrived quickly.

Disappointing
Although they do what they're supposed to do they're not very good at staying in place and easily fall off at the slightest touch. I'm sure there must be better ones out there but I suppose you get what you pay for

Scratched, looked like they'd already been used
Scratched, looked like they'd already been used - didn't fit my glasses. No option anywhere to return, says ineligible for return. Poor all round really.
