But no bluetooth. I have rockbox installed on all of them. I wanted a SanDisk product that had bluetooth. That's this one. I did NOT pay attention to the fact that the hardware is different in this model and created issues that made it difficult/impossible to write a rockbox program for said model. I was bummed. (I adore rockbox) But I needed a bluetooth mp3 because I didn't want to use my phone as an mp3 player. Just no. So, my love of SanDisk products overrode my disappointment in that there was not a rockbox for this version. The sound quality is excellent, as well as the volume range. The controls are simple. The clip is sturdy, as is the unit itself. While it does not have an expansion port for a micro sd, 16GB is more than sufficient for my needs. It paired easily with my bluetooth headset, and I had no issues transferring files from PC to player. It charges relatively quickly and lasts a good while. I almost didn't buy this because there were so many negative reviews. The one and only reason I wanted a MP3 player is to play Audiobooks. I own a SanDisk Clip Sport Plus... purchased 3 years ago. I love it... but wanted to upgrade to a wireless Bluetooth... so I didn't have to have the Earbud wires hanging down and snagging on things while working. I received a Ruizu 8GB Portable Clip Bluetooth MP3 Player was purchased for me as a gift. I SENT THE RUIZU BACK... it did not play Audiobooks and I didn't like how you had to navigate back and forth to the Bluetooth screen to turn it on to get it to connect every time its turned on. So... I purchased a AGPTEK G15 16GB Bluetooth 4.0 MP3 Player, Wearable Clip. I also SENT this one BACK... although it did play Audiobooks from OverDrive and/or CD's ripped to MP3s... there was no main "Menu" button, so you had to keep pushing buttons to back out of your book and get to the Bluetooth screen to turn on the device, then navigate back to you book where you last left off. The other thing I did not like was that there was NO AUTO SAVE for books. You had to manually pause and navigate to a "Save" point in another menu screen. So if the player was on pause for more than 5 minutes, it Auto Shuts Off... and DOES NOT SAVE YOUR PLACE. Also it only allowed for up to "10 Saves points" before you have to start over writing other save points. After using my SanDisk Clip Sport Plus for the past 3 years... I was spoiled with the EASE of USE, especially after using 2 different MP3 players that were nothing like the SanDisk. So I decided to purchase and try out the new Bluetooth SanDisk MP3 player... what could I loose at this point... I have been using the SanDisk Bluetooth MP3 Player everyday since purchased on January 11, 2018. I really like it. It works just like the SanDisk Clip Sport Plus. It plays OverDrive Audiobooks just fine. Autosaves. It has a Main Menu Button. Easy to use. Once you set up the Bluetooth device... I have never had to navigate back to the Bluetooth menu screen. It remembers my device as soon as it is turned on. Turn the MP3 player on first, turn on the Bluetooth device. The Bluetooth icon on MP3 will light up in blue... letting you know you are connected. Push play... either on the MP3 player or your Bluetooth Ear device... (if you purchased one with Play/Pause like I did.) This MP3 Player is a little bigger than my Clip Sport Plus. The ON/OFF button is now the Front Middle Button instead of on the Top End of player. The Play/Pause button on the MP3 Player is a little stiffer... so you have to press it a little harder... (But THIS IS A WATER PROOF DEVICE... so the buttons are more of a thicker "Rubber" than "Plastic".) Over all... its the same player. It Auto Saves my place when I pause and/or it shuts down and seems to shut down fast when you push the Front Middle Button to turn it off. To turn on... your hold in the Front Middle button for about 7 seconds... same for the Bluetooth Ear device... hold for about 7 seconds to turn on. And yes... you can be listening to your Audiobook with your Bluetooth connected and still navigate the Menu buttons without pausing or stopping...if you need to make adjustment to something... like setting up a Sleep timer. I only mention this because of some of the reviews were saying you couldn't do this. I like this player well enough, that I am thinking about purchasing another one just to use at night when laying in bed. Also I would like to mention... I purchase a single Bluetooth Ear piece to use with this player while at work. So I could listen to my book and also hear if someone is talking to me. When someone is speaking to me... I just push Pause on the MP3 player or on my Ear piece... which ever one is more convenient at the time. If they are talking to me longer than say 10 minutes... my MP3 player will "Save" and shut down. The Bluetooth Ear device will tell me that "NO DEVICE IS CONNECTED." After another 5 minutes of not be connected to the MP3 player... the Bluetooth Ear piece will auto shut off. (I love this... because it does help to save on battery life.) SPECIAL NOTE: The Bluetooth Ear piece I purchased is very small... so it only has a 5 to 6 hours of battery life. I am at work for 8+ hours. So I purchase another Bluetooth Ear piece... the exact same one... so I conneted the 2nd Bluetooth Ear piece to the MP3 player... the same way as I did the first. So if you were to go to the Bluetooth Menu Screen... you would see the Ear device listed twice... (the 1st one and the 2nd one both with the same code number.) When I am listening to my Audiobook and the Bluetooth Ear piece tells me "Low Battery" I pause my book... Turn Off my Ear Piece... place it on its charger... I get the 2nd Bluetooth Ear piece thats already been charged and turn it on... it connects automaticly to the MP3 player (remember... its the exact same device/same code) so I put it in my ear and push Play on the player... and I am back to listening to my book. This is the only player I have found that I can connect with an aux cable to my Bluetooth speaker (don't need Bluetooth) that my speaker lasts my while 12 hr shifts at high volume as well as this player. I've had it for 7 months & it downloads so simple from my laptop, easy to connect with my earbuds to my cell, ect. It's loud...trust me yourp3 player makes a difference on your speaker loudness. Has a custom equalizer as well as Rock, ect. When using with Bluetooth at high volumes lastscabout 10-11 hrs. But I have a $17 portable charger that charges it up in about 45 min if I'm at the beach or a party. It has 3 playlists as well. I tried 3 other mp3 players & none worked with the aux cable or had the loudness with my W-King speaker which I highly recommend. I'm ordering another for my daughter. It also has a 2 yr warranty from the company if you ever need it. I love it. **Q: Does the 16gb version have a micro SD slot?** A: I just bought a new one and it doesn't. Which is odd since the one I bought 5 years ago that I'm replacing does. Small matter - I never used that slot anyway. The internal memory is already far greater than I need to carrying music to the gym or running. **Q: Can I listen to audio books?** A: I use it for listening to audiobooks in MP3 format and it's usable, but it's not that great because it only remembers where you left off if you don't charge it or go to any other file in between. It supposedly will do better with Audible books, but I don't use those so I can't say from my own experience. It will play through a series of files (if they are properly named and numbered) in order, and it will remember where it was when you turned it off. Unlike the earlier Clip Plus, it doesn't remember where you left off if you go out of the file and come back to it. **Q: Can I put my I tunes Music on it** A: As much as I like to "answer" your question with a question I have instead of just answering your inquiry with an actual answer, the answer is yes you can put your "iTunes" music (it's in mp3 format no?) in this, but you're not going to be able to do it like you would in an iPhone or iPod or something. You're going to have to download your iTunes music in an mp3 format in a local drive and then transfer that mp3 file into this device. In other words, you can't use iTunes to manage the files, for example. Yeah. Once again...you can't use iTunes to download music to this device...you have to download the mp3 file to a local drive and then transfer it to this device. (Awesome!) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A really nice Bluetooth-capable MP3 player with one minor ding *by O***K on April 5, 2018* I bought this player to use almost exclusively to listen to podcasts via its Bluetooth capability, and so far I'm really happy with it, with one little issue that I'll explain at the end. There are many options for earphones and external speakers that will work with this, but for anyone interested, I'm using the excellent Nenrent earphone found here - NENRENT S570 Bluetooth Earbud,Smallest Mini Invisible V4.1 Wireless Bluetooth Earpiece Headset Headphone Earphone with Mic Hands-Free Calls for iPhone iPad Samsung Galaxy LG HTC Smartphones 1pcs(Nude) Of course, the Nenrent earphone is only a single earphone, which makes all audio played through it mono by definition, but that's not a problem for me, as I want to be able to keep my other ear open, and I listen to nothing but spoken word mono podcasts with it anyway. I had bought the AGPtek A26 Bluetooth capable player to use for listening, but I came away quickly very dissatisfied, with the Bluetooth function really awkward, with having to switch the Bluetooth off for such simple tasks as changing a setting and its inability to resume playing where I left off in a given file. I'm happy to say that the Clip Sport Plus has none of the problems that the AGPTek unit has, with several enhancements, including its water splash resistance and somewhat cushioned rubberized body edges. I'm able to resume where I left off when playing podcasts, and the interface is easy to understand and navigate. I also like the rubber-covered buttons on the front that will make it more durable and water resistant. It's also a nice little bonus that the player and earphone fit together inside the small zippered case that my Nenrent earphone came with, almost as if the case had been made for the purpose. I haven't used the radio capability of this player much yet, but I wanted to provide a helpful tip about how to use it. The instructions state that you must use a wired earphone to use the radio for the simple fact that the Sport Clip Plus itself has no room for an antenna at all inside its body, so the wire for the earphone itself acts as the radio antenna when plugged into the unit. However, I was able to learn through some experimentation that that's not entirely true, because I was able to figure out a way to listen to the radio using (yes) the Bluetooth earphone. I already had an old wired earphone with one of its two earphones with an open somewhere in the the wiring that I hadn't thrown away, but it occurred me to try just carefully snipping off both earphones, leaving only the wire leading up to where it splits for each side of the earphones. Now, using this earphone wire with the plug still attached, I plugged it into the headphjone jack on the player, then switched the radio on and sure enough, I was now able to listen to the radio through the Nenrent Bluetooth earphone. Of course, there's now a wire dangling from the player serving as an antenna, but at least it allows me to listen to the radio untethered to it. Now, I did discover one issue that is the reason why I dinged my review from five stars to four stars. I found out that transmitting with an ordinary handheld Motorola UHF frequency two-way radio would crash the player while listening to it via Bluetooth. I had it crash this way twice, with it losing my place in the podcast I was listening to and requiring me reinitializing the Bluetooth. Worse, a third time, when I transmitted with the Motorola radio for about ten seconds straight, it crashed the player to the point that I at first believed it was completely destroyed because no amount of pushing in the power button would bring it up back up again. I was relieved to find that it came right back up again when I later plugged it into my computer's USB port, so at least that allowed it to recover, but its worth knowing that for anyone else who may get surprised by it. I haven't had that problem with any other Bluetooth device, so it seems that there is some kind of flaw in the electronics with the Clip Sport Plus. I have since experimented a bit with the Motorola, and I have discovered that I can prevent any crashes by turning my head away from where I have the Clip Sport Plus clipped to my shirt pocket, then transmitting with the radio well away from between the player and the earphone. I have had no problems that way.
