Good
Received this flare adapter, after having broken the original one and was unable to finish making the rest of the brake lines I needed. This replacement was good quality and held up to make six more line flares.I found it works best when you chamfer the brake line and use either brake fluid or penetrating oil so that the flare adapter won't break and is also able to come out of the end of the finished flare.

A must for repairing brake lines
I broke the original flaring tool, and bought this one as a replacement. 3/16" is the most common size used in autos. Being the center stud is small, it is prone to breakage if not careful. This one works fine.

KTI Flaring Tool adapter you may need to have in you toolbox.
With pin facing up, the first step on the edge is the gauge to set the right height for the end of your line (before flaring)above the flaring tool when double flaring. I found just a hair more worked better for me using nickel/copper lines ( I used 4Lifetime Lines). If you have lines tight enough in the die + it get a tiny crush line on the edge of tube + flare after finishing, just carefully file it off after flaring. Saves to buy this ala-carte to add to your kit than to buy a whole set, if you don't flare anything but 3/8ths lines. Vendor was a little slow, but I wasn't in a hurry+tool was satisfactory. Watch a you tube video on double flaring if you don't understand. A must have for those times your rusty old lines are problematic + need replaced. It ain't Rocket Science.

Might work well with better flaring tool
Seemed to fit fine, unfortunately I was using a cheap multi slot flaring tooled that gouged sides of tubing rendering tubing useless.

Good quality
Part looks good. Broke my last one from a kit (not this brand) on a bubble flare not a double flare as this part is for. Happy to get a good guality replacement as 3/16 is a very common size

Broke first time used
Super brittle, purchased to replace a missing snap on double flare set. First time using this K tool flare it snapped off inside the line. Luckily I had a second snap on flare kit that had the 3/16 flare tool which worked like normal. Waste of money.

Not buying again
I was able to use it a few times before the stem that goes into the brake line broke, I wouldn’t recommend this one, there are others lower priced and better quality.

Did the job
Arrived quickly unfortunately the first one broke perhaps not the fault of the tool. Ordered a second one which again arrived very quickly but at twice the price of the first one
