Suctions very well.No drainage.Wouldn't claim it catches hair but your hair won't go down the drain either, at least not while it's covering the drain. I guess you could just pull up a small part and catch while you do that but that would be a hassle.I don't care about appearance, it's a tub and I'm not rich enough to care about how esthetically pleasing my tub looks while I relax. If I turn off the lights and light some candles with some music and a glass of wine, I ain't seein' it anyway. The colors are fun. That's all I care about.My tub drain doesn't have a cover so I have to clean it frequently.
