Review: I'm with everyone else here: It delivers. If you've never used liquid latex before-READ HERE! - I've used a few different brands of liquid latex now from miscellaneous Halloween stores, and this one is definitely my favorite for one reason: the brush! It allows you to be more conscientious when you're applying this on another person (like I have-to my BF and a 6-year-old). As for the product itself, I see no difference between brands. I did upload a couple photos, hopefully they help, all I had handy was my crappy camera phone. In every way, this stuff reminds me of basic white craft glue. It's the same consistency, it dries up on your hands and you have to peel it off or rub them together and it balls-up just like Elmer's Glue...the one difference is, it's much stronger, and allows you to "mess" with it after it dries. Then you're left with a fleshy-looking and fleshy-FEELING bit of gunk on your face (or wherever you're putting it). The biggest bit of advice I have (especially for guys) is to make sure your skin is clean & dry (no lotion) and DON'T put it on any hair if you don't have to. The easiest method for removal is PEELING it off, and it's tougher to remove than glue, so ...ouch! Now, we were just using it for basic zombie stuff and will be trick-or-treating in it...so no Hollywood effects or "Zipper-Face" stuff here. If you're getting all heavy, my advice probably won't help you (I have seen some You Tube videos that might however). All I do is put on a few SOLID coats (this small 16-oz bottle is PLENTY for a few faces, necks, etc. for at least 2 parties), in the desired area--allowing them to dry in between. THEN the magic happens when it's dry, or nearly dry. You'll be able to pull apart the "flesh" creating tears and holes and other yucky textures in the glue. Depending on the color you get (I've always had white) it will dry clear until you tear it. Then you'll have a gross-looking second skin, in the color of the latex. It will be springy and fleshy to the touch-not like glue at all. At this point you can put whatever you want over the top of it. For the pictures above, I'd used a white latex...after it dried I put my regular old foundation on top of it to make it flesh colored: (http://www.desertcart.com/Tinted-Daily-Moisturizer-SPF-15/dp/B007PL7RK8/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1351577542&sr=8-6&keywords=skinnygirl+moisturizer) Then I (no kidding) used my regular-old eyeshadows to create the other colors. Mostly because It's what I had handy, and it worked for me...I've since found that a combination of other pancake or tube make-ups work great, but I recommend a powder make up for over-top of those if you have it-to set it up. Mehron also makes a barrier spray (http://www.desertcart.com/Mehron-MR-54501-Barrier-Spray/dp/B000LNHFG8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1351578131&sr=8-1&keywords=mehron+barrier+spray) that is supposed to help "set" your make-up...but nothing sets up make-up like a powder finish. Just my opinion. I DID buy the barrier spray, and I'm not sure it did anything--I used it over several layers of powder. Maybe just extra insurance! Bottom line--you'll have to find what works for you, but this is a fine product to start with. Mehron is a line to trust, in my opinion.
Review: Great stuff! - Great stuff! Used it to protect the vinyl face of a plushy whose synthetic fur I was dying. Great coverage and texture, easy to apply, reasonable drying time, and easy to remove.

## Features

- PROFESSIONAL: Mehron's Liquid Latex is a professional, vegan formula that can be used as an adhesive to attach appliances to the skin, to seal wax, or to create textured effects like aged or peeling skin. True professional grade, trusted by Hollywood and Broadway pros since 1927.
- USE FOR 3D EFFECTS: To create 3D effects or textured skin, mix Liquid Latex with materials such as cotton or tissue before application. Liquid Latex can also be used as a glue adhesive for prosthetics and other appliances.
- HOW TO APPLY: To achieve a scar or wrinkle effect, build up thin layers of Liquid Latex, powdering between each layer. To achieve a zombie look, layer Liquid Latex mixed with cotton or tissue to achieve a textured decaying look, allowing each layer to dry in between. Finish the look off by coloring the wound with paint, such as Mehron’s ProColoRing Bruise Wheel, and a bit of Stage Blood! Patch test recommended before use.
- REMOVAL: When removing Liquid Latex, use Mehron Makeup Remover or warm water to soften edges, avoiding contact with hair and clothes, and follow with soap and water.
- HOW TO USE: Dab Spirit Gum directly to clean, dry skin with brush or fingers. Tap Spirit Gum until it is sticky to activate the adhesive. Secure prosthetic to the area and press and smooth to ensure adhesion. To remove it, apply Spirit Gum Remover to the desired area and gently rub until the glue begins to break down. Wash with soap and water.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this be used for pitted acne scars before applying makeup?**
A: I don't see why not. Obviously use some moisturizer or primer before applying the latex to your face, especially if it's going to be for an extended period of time which I'm guessing it will be since you are using it for makeup. You might have to build it with a couple layers. Good luck!

**Q: What is the shelf life of this product? I don't actually need it for about 5 more months, but I would like to go ahead and begin testing it.**
A: Mehron Liquid Latex is can be used to build up layers of a skin type material. I've used this product to create scars, you can use it to make prosthetics. You can search 'pinkstylist' on YouTube.com to see how this item is used in various ways. I hope I've answered your question well.

**Q: I am making a headpiece out of foam wrapped in spandex will this cover it without seeping into the foam?**
A: I wouldn't use spandex, that material will soak through when wet. Have you thought about wrapping foam in like cling wrap? That's more of a barrier and the latex will coat over it fine.

**Q: Can it be used for pasties**
A: Like beef pasties? If so no I would not suggest to consume liquid latex.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff!
*by G***E on February 23, 2026*

Great stuff! Used it to protect the vinyl face of a plushy whose synthetic fur I was dying. Great coverage and texture, easy to apply, reasonable drying time, and easy to remove.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Covers Art Doll Faces Well
*by A***R on November 5, 2025*

Great for covering doll faces when dying fur! I used many layers of this to cover my tutulong's face before I dyed him (he was a dupe color), and it kept his face perfectly safe from the dye. I discovered this from tutorials on labubus, and they stressed it was important to use this brand because it's the only one that works. I didn't apply enough under the chin so there are tiny spots, but it just shows you need to be patient. Overall, great product for the use I needed it for. I have plenty left to dye more dolls if I pull more dupes. Would recommend if you need for art doll customizing!
