Were the bolts rusty? Yes! Were they to long? Yes! Here is how to fix that.
I was just going to swap the bolts out. I had new 4mm bolts in a box. All of which are to long or to short. Now this is a bit of work. But if you need it to work its time to go to work. I already had a bar of aluminum drilled to allow me to rotate a bolt as its ground off on a bench grinder. Seen this problem before. Already had Gun Blue on hand to retreat the bolts. About ten minutes later I had correct length bolts and the rust was gone and fresh Bluing on the metal. Now I must say you should not have to do all of this on a new part. But its not a $20.00 Floyd Rose nut. Its what I could get from Amazon next day. Problem solved, money saved. Amazon to the rescue. Rock on.

Complete Garbage!
I know you get what you pay for, but this is 100% useless. The locking screws are way too long and It is made of very soft metal. The strings left gauges in this thing the moment I put them on. I broke 3 high E strings while shimming this thing up, because the metal was marred from when I put the very first string on it. Every time I tightened an E from then on, it broke it. Also, the heights are terrible. The high E is WAY higher than the B string even with all the other strings where they should be. This makes it awkward to play. I tried everything to fix that and only got it slightly less awkward. Please learn from my mistake and don’t skimp on a locking nut. Just spend the money and get an authentic replacement. It will save you time, money and strings. I bought this to replace a stripped nut on a pawn shop Jackson JS32 with a Floyd Rose. It came with an wr3 nut and this one is way off from that. The width is correct but the angle and height are not even close. I ended up ordering an authentic Floyd Rose R3 special/1000 locking nut, which is what was originally on the guitar. Even if the measurements were exactly what I needed, the poor quality of the materials would still render it useless.

Works well, but set screws are too long
Worked well for my application. Installed only the string keeper blocks with set screws, not the entire nut. Installed on an Ibanez RG series. Set screws are too long. They protrude from below the bottom of the nut about 1/8”. This will dig in to the fretboard or the wood beneath. If that isn’t an issue, rock on. I gave 4 stars because it wasn’t an issue for me.

Good for a new build, may not be a good fit for replacement hardware.
Seems well made. I bought these to rebuild an Ibanez I picked up at a yard sale that had the locking nut base, but not the locks. Comes with two Phillips Screws to secure the set-up to the guitar. These were smaller in width than the Hex Wrench bolts and the drilled holes already on my guitar, so I was unable to use them or the base in this kit. Instead I ended up using the original nut base on my guitar, only using the bolt on lock squares. Also, the hex wrench didn't fit the locks, it was too small. Not sure why it was included.
