UPDATED: So, I hadn't really loved a previous non-stick pan I used for breakfast every weekend...
UPDATE: When this pan came, I noticed that there was a small chip in the ceramic nonstick coating on the rim of the pot. Since I didn't feel it was a big deal, I kept it and have used it many times. I'd recently purchased a set of pans from Calphalon (I'd had Calphalon Professional pots and pans for years) that proved to be too thin, the teflon nonstick treatment was, well, teflon and just inadequate for my needs. As I was contemplating a move to a new city, I realized that I didn't want to take the Calphalon set with me. I immediately thought about how much I really loved this OXO Professional Hard Anodized Ceramic Nonstick pan. I ordered a full set of the OXO Professional Hard Anodized Ceramic nonstick pans (including another 12" Skillet) to be delivered to my new home. When I got there, the stove was a crappy old coil electric stove and I decided to upgrade to a new Samsung Induction Range. When the installers arrived and were finishing, they asked to see my cookware (to ensure that it would work with the new range) and when I pulled out one of my OXO saucepans, their faces fell and they started to tell me that I'd need new cookware. I remembered that OXO had been very clear that they'd added iron filings in the bases of all these Professional pans and that they were compatible with induction ranges. I threw some water in that saucepan and it was boiling in under 30 seconds! The installers took down the information on the OXO Professional Pots & Pans and said that they'd be recommending them to other Induction range customers! ...as for this pan, it's very happily residing in my camping gear and great breakfasts come out of it! Original Review: ...and I also wanted a skillet that was durable enough to take camping. I received this pan a couple of days ago and hand washed it immediately. This morning, I made my coffee and got the pan on the stove and pre-heated it, threw in a few slices of my favorite thick cut peppered bacon and then (when the bacon was done) fried a couple of eggs over medium. The bacon came out crisp but not overcooked and the eggs cooked perfectly with no sticking and it all cooked quickly and properly. This pan is a joy to use and has improved my breakfasts going forward. Can't wait to get it on my camp stove in Yosemite in a couple of months! Highly recommended!

Non-stick failed immediately-but then! Returned to say it's an excellent non-stick pan
This pan looks great. Very impressive finish on the non-stick surface. Couldn't wait to make my eggs and hash in it. Both stuck to the pan! I washed it out, soaked and scraped the surface clean with silicone spatula and tried again. I added butter for the eggs and a little oil under the hash. The hash still stuck, the eggs only partially stuck. I wouldn't recommend this pan. I'm off to Homegoods for another $10 non-stick that will last about 3 years. FOLLOW-UP I subsequently tried to use this pan several more times, since it was the only "non-stick" I had. I washed this pan in the dishwasher 4 or 5 times, and voila! It's turned beautifully non-stick! See the picture. No sticking and cleans easily. I now highly recommend this pan. I won't try to explain why it took so many washings to reveal its non-stick attribute. I apologize for rushing to judgment.

Its a really nice non-stick pan.
I am swapping over from non-stick to stainless for most things, but wanted to have a non-stick skillet or two for eggs and such. This is a great non-stick pan. Its way better than either of my All-Clad 12" non-stick pans that I am replacing (I had two versions). It heats evenly and is super slick. It feels like quality, without feeling heavy or hard to move around. Really good handle - its a little shorter than some, but that is fine with me. The rough, non-skid bottom is great too. Only two issues - 1) a lid would be nice. I bought the Lodge lid 12" glass lid, and its really nice and fits perfectly. 2) sometimes I regret the very steep sides. There is more flat surface for cooking than most 12" pans, but if you want to toss or flip what you are cooking, its hard. Since a lot of people use non-stick for eggs, it may be an issue if you flip eggs over utensil-free - they kind of slam into the side of the pan instead. I plan to buy an 8" one too, but may go with the regular OXO one with the more gently sloping sides, so as to have some options. UPDATE - I wrote a new review with a photo after things started sticking after only four months. I did not remember that I had written this one. Dropped it down to one star.

This is the One you should Order!
After cooking for my family of 4 for over 30 years, I have tried a lot of frying pans. The size is awesome! The nonstick coating is safe and works really well. I have yet to have anything even try to stick on it. It is also super easy to clean according to my son who washes the dishes. It has enough weight to it without being so heavy I need two hands. The handle stays cool, and food doesn't get caught up on the rivets for the handle. We have an electric stove, and the heat distribution of this pan is perfect. If I ever have to replace it, I will buy the exact same skillet. I would gladly buy it again and would certainly recommend it to family and friends.

long lasting
I have bought several coated and non coated fry pans in the past and never had good luck keeping the non stick surface, non stick. Then I bought my first Oxo 12 inch fry pan last year and have now purchased an 8 inch. So far these clean up the easiest of all my cookware. I wipe it clean with a paper towel and run hot water over it while washing with a non scratch pad. They always look perfect when I'm done and I don't have the scratches that usually appear even after short term use . I recommend these if your looking for something that last longer and is easy to clean. The reason I've looked at so many pans over the years is that my wife tends to cook with high heat. That's a killer for these non-stick surfaces. She did the same thing with this pan. However, I was able to clean it up and have noticed that anytime anything seems to stick, it doesn't really once you get to cleaning it. A simple soaking, wipe with a paper towel and wash. I've had this pan for almost a year and a half now and I'm very pleased with its usefulness, cleanability and longevity

Great pan! *updated review with one ding on a star
I like nonstick pans because I eat a lot of egg whites. My last nonstick started having that Teflon surface flaking off. I bought a carbon steel pan in hopes of avoiding the chemicals. Carbon steel pans need a lot of TLC like a cast iron skillet. The carbon steel pan I bought is nice enough but I’ve still not managed to season it enough to become non-stick. Then this OXO pan came to my rescue. I’m so in love with this pan and it’s generous frying surface because it doesn’t have rounded sides. I can toast for burger buns in it at once. I sauté and fry in this pan. I love sautéing main ingredients for sauce like ground meat, onions etc and then being able to pour in a bunch of liquid whether it’s tomato sauce, broth or whatever. Essentially, a pan for one stop cooking. Where has this beautiful ceramic non stick surface been all my life? I use this on a glass top stove and it takes slightly more time to heat up compared to other pans I’ve had but when it does it holds and even heat. Reliable cooking. I can even whip up a whole batch of egg whites with spinach, peppers, etc with no sticking! Completely passed the egg white test. I eat egg white burritos everyday so this is really important to me. It also cleans off anything I cook like a good nonstick pan can do. I could wipe it clean with only a paper towel if I wanted to: That easy. I highly recommend this pan. Happy cooking! Update 7/3/2022 As great as this pan is with egg whites, which is super important to me because the sulfur in egg whites helps my joints and I can't tolerate so much lecithin in yolks (tmi, I know) but this pan is quite terrible with steaks. This pan is still worth it to me for the way great way it handles eggs but as far as steaks go, I'd highly recommend this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KPV97CL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 Outstand sear on steaks with this one.

6 1/2 inch bottom and 8 inch rim
Not gonna lie when I opened the box I nearly sent it back. You must be joking the smallest fry pan I’ve ever seen. When I ordered what looked like a straight sided pan I expected an 8 inch bottom not 6 1/2 inch., But I decided to give the midget a run on my induction cooktop since it was here. There’s only my husband and I for breakfast, fried ham or sausage maybe a fried potato and 4 scrambled eggs aren’t huge pan items anyway. I was so surprised that this pan takes it all. It cooks very evenly. Cleans with a paper towel wipeout and never sticks for me. I have to admit , after a few weeks of using it , it’s my go to pan. I liked it well enough to buy its 10” brother this week. It is much heavier than a standard Teflon pan but not cast iron heavy. The one thing I don’t like is the outside of the pan rivets have lots of nooks and crannies and will be harder to keep clean. Over all I would gladly buy it again. I haven’t used it in the oven yet but up to 600 degrees sounds awesome. Additional note from 6 months later. The baby pan and its 10 inch brother still have flat non warped bottoms. Both used daily on an induction burner with a 6 inch magnetic. No scratches yet but I’m not using metal spatulas in them either. If I fry ham or sausage in them and want to scramble eggs after I plate the meat, put a little water in pan and a swirl and wipe out with paper towel and it’s totally clean and ready to go for eggs. Mine isn’t as non stick if I put it in the dishwasher, but with how easy it cleans up I don’t feel that a problem. I do always use just a little bit of butter or oil, just the tinniest amount in the bottom to start. Still would buy it again.

This is NOT a non-stick pan!
I've been using this pan for about 3 months now, and if I could, I'd return it. OXO is by far the best brand in kitchen products. I will gladly pay double to get the OXO brand. Their products typically have cool features that other products don't, they always grip well, and are high quality. This pan doesn't offer anything special, but in terms of appearence and quality, it's what I would expect out of OXO. When it comes to pan cooking, I follow all the rules to keep the pan durable, and maintain it's non-stick nature. I never exceed the midway setting of heat (50% of max), and always use oils or butter. The heat gets turned way down on eggs, my most frequent dish, and metal utensils never touch it. Ultimately, I treat my pan like a baby, because it is a higher end pan that came at a higher end cost. With that all said, this pan sticks like nothing else. I can't even do pork sausage without it sticking. I turn the heat to 10%, and use butter, and my eggs are sticking. BTW, I am a 40 year old bachelor - I live on my pan and know how to care for it. I had a non-stick OXO pan before, and it was great, and I was hoping the ceramic pan would be the same level of quality. This is a solid pan and will do the trick but the sticking makes me wish I had just purchased a regular old pan. If I were to be considering this purchase, I would definitely switch to the ones labeled as non-stick strictly, and not this ceramic option.

Great pan
I would recommend this pan. Easy to use and quick to clean. Great non stick coating. A great addition to your pots and pans.

Defective and Expensive
Horrible product, everything sticks, something defective. Amazon won’t return, warranty number has a 3hour window of operation, ridiculous.

Great pan that looks and functions like new even after regular use.
Love this pan. Been using it quite regularly and it looks and functions like new still after a few months of use. Has good heat distribution and heats up relatively fast on a gas burner. I just make sure I don't use metal utensils on it and not heat the pan empty or overheat it (because that's what kills the Teflon coating).

Perfect size for 4-person meal kits.
This pan is now my go-to for cooking HelloFresh meals. Had to previously cook things in batches, but no longer. This holds everything I typically cook in a meal kit for four in one pass. No stick, easy clean up. Found a matching lid on Amazon that fit like a glove. Lost one star because Oxo doesn’t offer a pan and lid bundle. Frying anything without a lid would be super messy.
