Can we get 0 stars? NOT worth it!
UPDATE:I contacted the company, explained the welding issues and that the handlebars wouldn’t stat in place. I sent pictures and everything. They sent us a new wheel. That wasn’t the issue at all.Now we are on issue #3. The pedal keeps falling off. The plastic is worn and keeps slipping off. We have tried everything we can think of to “fix” it, but keeps coming off. It’s infuriating as this bike isn’t the cheapest, and quality sure isn’t there, but we can’t take it away from our son as he really loves this bike. We keep rigging it up trying to keep it rideable. Do yourself a favor...spend more money and BUY AMERICAN!!!I will be contacting the company yet again, they need to know (not that they care)For the amount of money we paid for this item, I really expected more. We purchased this one instead of others because we felt we could trust Schwinn, a well known name when it comes to bikes. Unfortunately, we were wrong.I’m typically not one to write a bad review, but people need to know the honest truth before they do like us and spend money on a disappointing tricycle. Our son is 2 years old. We just put this tricycle together. For starters, the front wheel is crooked, husband says it’s the weld that’s bad. Secondly, the handle bars will NOT stay in place. If he turns right, the handlebars stay turned. He steers with the handlebar almost completely sideways. It’s so upsetting. He was so excited to ride it, we let him go ahead and do so, but anytime he turns, we have to stop him to set the handlebars straight again.VERY disappointing purchase!! I will leave this review for others, but will also be contacting the company itself.

Trust these 1 Star reviews! This bike CAN’T be a Schwinn.
I purchased this twice hoping that the first defective one was a fluke. The first time I assembled it, the seat was wobbly and the handlebars turned without turning the front wheel. No matter how hard I tightened it, this would happen. It was unsafe and unridable. The logo was crooked, the sticker on the seat was folded so it looked cheap, and it was missing a screw. I was so disappointed! I returned it for a refund. Thank you Amazon.I repurchased the same bike in a different color hoping a different bike in a different box was all I needed. After all, the reviews are mostly good! Nope! Not only was there a stench of marijuana coming from the bubble wrap, the front wheel cover was dented and scratched. I clearly got a returned product as the packaging seemed to be done by another frustrated, duped buyer. But I’m working with a deadline here, so I decided to attempt assembly anyway. Sure enough, no matter how I positioned the seat and no matter how tightly I screwed it together, the seat still shifted from side to side. AND the handlebars STILL didn’t catch and would turn without turning the front wheel! So, sweaty and frustrated, (and a little mad at myself for doing this TWICE) I requested a refund and I’m waiting for UPS to come pick up this piece of junk. There’s no way this product is a real Schwinn unless they’ve completely given up on maintaining their reputation for quality.

Got this for my adorable 2 year old granddaughter
Got this for my adorable 2 year old granddaughter..she just loves it so far ..she is 32 inches tall and can just reach the pedals with the seat all the way forward ..the rear axle does not have ball bearings so i took it apart and put grease on the bushings..attaching a photo to show what i did..i seen from another reviewer that they had water damage after water was spilt on the back wooden board..so i took it off and the chrome ring around it and sanded it down with 200 grit sandpaper and gave it 5 coats of minwax acrylic clearcoat ..o my it shines now plus should help protect for years to come ..the front wheel does have ball bearings so i put a couple of drops of oil in there.just help it last longer..the rear tires are a pain to inflate ..tried to put air in them and the tire pops off the rim..so i used painters masking tape and got the tire where i wanted it and wrapped tape around tire and rim so the tape would hold in place while inflating ..worked like a charm..see attached photo ..all in all we love it and our little one does too..hope this helps others to decide on a good fit for there little angel

Go Faster, Turn Sharper. Solid Trike. Actually Made with Metal and Rubber...and Not All Plastic
Excellent quality and weight. Now that my daughter is older (3.5 years old) she wants to go faster. And she was just not able to with her classic Radio Flyer tricycle which is lighter in weight and has a higher center of gravity... she complained that she feels like the tricycle will flip over and we did have a few close calls when she did go too fast. So we started to look for a "big wheel" style trike, read tons of reviews and decided on the Schwinn Roadster. We love the price point, sporty retro look but more so, the overall quality and weight of this trike. Compared to other similar trikes, this actually has metal body and rubber tires where most others are completely plastic, even the tires. Daughter loves the bell and streamers and that she can go fast and take sharper turns without worry. However, because the trike is metal, it is heavier and harder to pedal. At first she would tire out rather quickly but as we ride more, she is building up strength and endurance. We received many compliments while riding this trike. Little boys and girls point to it and ask their parents for the same thing. It is a cool little trike! We are very happy with this addition to our fleet and will get many years of use out of this as it gets passed along down the line of children.

Broken Bell
This tricycle is absolutely amazing. Strong, robust and well manufactured. However there was one problem which became apparent on Christmas Day when assembling the bike for our grandson. The bell was broken and did not ring. Although the tricycle functioned well our two year 8 month old was disappointed as the bell would not ring ! I hope the manufacturer gets to read this criticism as I feel its a fault that needs to be rectified. After all, when you’re two, you need a bell to warn people you are coming.

Good, but with reservations...
Wonderful, beautiful sturdy piece of equipment. Heavy, so difficult for a 3 year old to push with her little legs. I use a tow rope and pull her around! Haha. She'll be perfect for it in a year or two I reckon. Also, I have to keep it outside in a shed and unfortunately, it has started to rust already even though I only bought it a few months ago. :'(
