Great little pencil sharpener. Love that it stops sharpening when pencil is sharp and can be used with cord or batteries.

Works well for the price. The automatic shutoff took some getting used to. It has the option to power by USB, but where I mainly use it, there is no place to plug it in. So far I have not needed to replace the batteries.

Who knew Amazon Basics was just what the Teacher ordered?! I was looking for a pencil sharpener for the kids as I was growing tired of buying individual sharpeners they'd end up breaking or losing. This is the perfect solution. Right out the box I put it to work! Sharpened a stack of colored pencils. It stops automatically once the pencils sharpened. It doesn't continue to shred it down like some of the others which is great! It's not big and noisy. The top is secure. In order to empty it you have to push in on 2 sides to lift it up. This prevents accidental spills. The item doesn't come with a power adapter for the USB cord provided. It can be operated with 4 AA batteries. The USB cord did not have a twist tie around it. I added a tie for personal preference (organization). Do I recommend? Yes! Don't hesitate. Buy! This item is great for the price.

Just got this pencil sharpener . Sharpened well and the tip didn’t break on the sharpest setting. I will say at first try I had to figure which part of the pencil to hold it at. Hold it at the base or it won’t complete the cycle although it does do a good job at first stop if not held properly.

Well worth it, sharpens quick with auto stop is nice, doesn’t jam, the storage space for the shavings is more than enough, easy to empty, I have nothing bad to say about this product.

Fantastic for a busy office because it sharpens fast and quieter than other electric sharpeners. Both wired and battery connections produce a sharp point; it is not terribly expensive, and it comes apart easily to clean and clear jams. Very portable. Can't verify durability but will probably update the review if it breaks fast.

When it functioned properly, it worked great. Got frustrated with it because triggering it to turn on was hit-or-miss. Has three levels of sharpness you can select. They all seemed the same to me, though.
