Nice GF buckwheat
It's a good product. I would prefer organic, though. Here's how I cook it so it is a fluffy grain-like side dish, not porridge. I don't roast it. I put it in a steel rice colander and first sift out any dust. Then I rinse with filtered water. I use filtered water since my area has water quality issues. I rise it with 2 or 3 changes of water. Then I put it in a pot with excess water and cook until it is just barely soft enough to eat. Then I drain and rise 2 more times & drain really well. I put it back in the pot and put on the burner on medium, stirring gently with a spoon a few times, until it is steaming. Then I turn off the heat, put on a lid and let it sit for 15-20 minutes, occasionally wiping off condensation from inside of lid with a towel.

Love Gerbs!
These buckwheat groats are delicious! Gerbs is a favorite company in my house because we have some food allergies. I know with Gerbs my family is safe and weโre getting a delicious product!

Good quality
Great product. Didnโt really work for me. Apparently I didnโt toast it enough . So during boiling went mushy.

great product, timely delivery.
Excellent product. Fresh. No stones. Delivered quickly. Exactly what I expected - a quality buckwheat. The buckwheat is sourced from organic farms. Wish people would give the company a break and understand the expense and the hoops required to get FDA Organic certification. Worst thing that ever happened to the organic industry was the FDA bullying their way in to certification process. The old state certifying agencies had better criteria and made the process attainable for small companies. FDA dummies down criteria while adding much unnecessary expense and useless paperwork. All about the money...

Easy to cook, quicker than many other grains/Gluten-free
The buckwheat groats take less water and time than many other grains,(equal parts groats to water is sufficient). This price is very good compared to health-food stores. I use buckwheat and other grains to substitute for animal protein and for grains/bread with gluten.

Wrong photo representation: toasted on photo, green in person
I have purchased it for the price listed only because of the misleading photo posted by the seller. The buckwheat appears to be toasted. I only purchased it because I believed that it was toasted. I previously tried toasting buckwheat on my own and as a result it always came out mushy not as I like it. I grew up cooking buckwheat that is toasted by the producer and I know exactly how to cook it. I wanted to return it but the item in not elegible for returns. I havenโt even open a package and now stuck with a bag of green grain and lost $16. It is wrong to post misleading photos and then reject returns. Update: Luckily the Amazon refunded my money. I hope the seller will make changes to the product images.
