I assumed that all 240 volt appliances and hookups were solid wire. Only reason I prefer solid wire is because I like the nice positive connection you get with solid wire to the screw terminals. Other than that it's a Great buy! Correction! I said I preferred solid but found out that the stranded 10 gage wire carries the same amperage as solid copper.
