Great BackUp Camera for your Jeep JK
I installed the NATIKA Backup Camera in my 2016 Jeep Wrangler JK about six months ago, and Iโm thrilled with its performance so far! I wanted to wait a bit before writing this review to assess its longevity, and I can confidently say it hasn't failed me once. The image quality is excellent, providing a clear view behind my Jeep, which has made parking and reversing much safer and easier. The installation was straightforward, and it fit perfectly with my setup. What I appreciate most is its durabilityโdespite exposure to the elements, itโs held up remarkably well. I feel much more confident backing up now, knowing I have this reliable camera to help. If you're looking for a dependable backup camera for your Jeep Wrangler, I highly recommend the NATIKA Backup Camera. Itโs been a fantastic addition!

Great Camera!
Great camera! Instalation was straight forward on stock and aftermarket stereo. Going strong almost 2 years later and well worth the money.

IMAGE IS BACKWARD LATERALLY, NO WAY TO CORRECT -- UPDATED -- 3-15-25
IMAGE IS BACKWARD LATERALLY, NO WAY TO CORRECT. Also, unable to access any support from the manufacturer. Image looks good, composite video signal. Cut wire to disable overlaid guidelines, cut wire to change from composite video to 720p, but this only makes the image go black if not in composite signal mode. no wire to cut / connect to swap the image to be correct. Picture shows things on left on the right, and things on right are on the left. My head unit also has no capability of inverting this image, so it's distressing. I didn't notice this issue upon initial installation, but recognized it while in use a few weeks after install. Now return window is closed. BEWARE. Surprised there are not more complaints about this, as I only read one other review that corresponds with this issue I have. Maybe it's a defective camera, but I have no recourse but to replace it with a different one. ***UPDATE 3-16-2025: Seller sent me a replacment camera and this replacment unit works correctly, image is correct horizontally and I am happy that it works again. Hopefully it lasts for many years compared to the last one at about 4 months. Seller communicated well within the Amazon messaging feature, and sent a replacment camera just a few days after I contacted them about the problem. Thank you.

You get what you pay for I guess
Second time purchasing this camera, while they worked great while they lasted, both died within a year of install of each of them. The first camera malfunctioning led me to believe it was my head unit at first, then after replacing that we realized it was the camera so I had to repurchase the same one because it was wired for this camera. This one is also now junk. You get what you pay for I guess

Using it as a front looking camera on my JK
This camera is a bit different for aftermarket use. If you plan to use the longer power leads close to the camera, It is apparently intended to be powered with -12v (not +12v). However you can use the short wire at the RCA end for +12v which is what I planned on anyway. The picture is on par with the other similar cameras, although a slightly better color. It has slightly smaller field of view which gets rid of the fish eye effect, but you do see a little less. The camera is all metal and is smaller than Canying for example. The cable is super long. Because by the time I received this camera I already installed the Canying camera, I ended up keeping this one and using it as front camera for my JK. Mounted at the very top of the middle grille opening using the small bracket that came with the camera. I ended up flipping the camera upside down which is possible with the camera design (nice). I had to be the bracket a bit and use it upside down to get the proper in-grille fit. This was easy with a pair of linesman pliers. The camera ended up perfect for that. The field of view is optimal, no fish eye effect. I cut the purple loop to get rid of mirrored image, but I kept the guidelines on as they are pretty much matching with the tires and the red area right at the bumper which also makes sense. However after first use, the camera got cooked from the radiator heat and the image became pretty defused as if there is a clear plastic bag in front of the lens. However, this was not a permanent damage and the camera started working properly once it cooled off. I ended up adding a heat shield which I made out of an old aluminum tray from an old toaster oven. I also added a raspberry PI heatsink to the top of the camera. It is now stays cool enough not to get in trouble. I measured 115F to 120F around the camera after a 20 min heatsoak (time when hit car is turned off in the garage, the time when that area gets exposed to max static heat from the radiator). I believe max operating temp is 180F, so it seems to be ok now. Now I can use this camera and it's guidelines to put the tire where I wanted which is helpful on rocky trails.

Good Camera, lack luster mount.
The camera itself produces a good image and the install was fairly simple, but if you can't mount the camera straight up and down consider a different option. I'm having to find brackets to adjust the angle to a hole on my son's aftermarket wheels and it's a bit of pain. Hopefully I can make it work accordingly.

Nice addition to the JK / JKU that works with the stock radio
I picked this camera mainly for the Jeep JK specific mounting hardware as opposed to hacking up a different model. While I've not put the camera to much daily use yet, I can say that it's done what I needed; I simply wanted better visibility while backing up, not really for parking assistance. For my intended need, it's great and exactly what I needed - I don't use BU cameras for parking, so that won't change. If you do though, the lines can easily be removed - I'll remove them before I button up the trim as they obviously cannot move with the turn/angle of the vehicle the way OEM cameras can and don't provide much value. I have a JKU with the stock radio and went into this a little skeptical as I couldn't imagine that my radio had this functionality. The included factory radio adapter clipped right in and provided the video output, coupled with the (not included) OBD scanner - I used B076XVQMVS / OBD JScan, but understand there are others that will work. There was also the need to buy a license for advanced features in JScan, that was an add'l $23 but still far better than the dealership fees. Overall, this was not that difficult to install/setup and at a good price. Like many products sold here, this isn't any different as the directions left a bit to be desired. Scan through them for sure, but there's a bit of repetition and the structure is a bit hard to follow. As I have a JKU, most everything I learned was gleaned through these 3 YT videos: q-9tXLerAus / bBh3VaDwpq8 / Mjk9JqrqtnY Just take your time and watch some videos to understand the main install sections beforehand - the interior removal, the routing and the electrical. Natika Customer Service was absolutely top notch - available quickly and went above and beyond to assist when I needed them.
