Bridge stability is the name of this game
To be honest, I havenโt heard any noticeable difference in tone since installing these in my American HSS Stratocaster (two single coil/two humbucker pickups). However, thatโs certainly not what I was after in the first place. Like a lot of folks who own Strats with stock floating bridges, Iโve encountered numerous tuning issues when operating the tremolo. Short of having a Floyd Rose system installed which obviously would have cost beaucoup bucks, I think Iโve tried just about everything in the book in attempting to solve this problem: - Decking the block using the claw and bridge mounting screws, since I only use the tremolo for dives. - Installing block-style bridge string saddles. - Various numbers and configuration of springs. - Modifying bridge plate mounting (example: 2 outside screws tight as pivot points, middle 4 raised slightly for stability). - In-cavity tremolo stabilizers. - Half-loop string wrapping around the machine heads. - Nut and saddle lubrication using Burtโs Bees, a #2 graphite pencil, etc. (always a good idea anyway). Iโm probably forgetting some other things, but Iโm sure you get the picture. Unfortunately, all of this was in vain, despite jumping through more hoops than a circus animal. The one thing that really helped was to install 5 springs, but using Fender parts that required far too much pressure on the tremolo arm to press it fully down. All that said, after reading many shining reviews about this product on the web, I thought Iโd give them a try. Since they apply less force than Fender springs, I was in business and able to install all 5 while still being able to easily bomb the arm. In fact, it actually feels like I only have 3 springs installed. I was even able to release some pressure on the claw, yet the bridge remained fully decked. The difference in the ability to remain in-tune is now like night and day. In my opinion, this is due to these springs applying equal pressure across the entire tremolo block. While not perfect (nothing is), this product provided me with far more bridge stabilization than anything else Iโve tried up to this point, and for a mere 25 bucks. Iโm kicking myself for not trying them sooner!

My Go-To Trem Springs for New Strat Builds for No Real Reason at All!
These weaker springs allow you to run 5 instead of 3 in your Stratocaster without the trem feeling overly stiff. They add sproinginess to the overall sound of the guitar, which I mostly hear unplugged. This springs are completely unnecessary in the grand scheme of things, but if you want to do a mod just to do a mod or are building a new parts-o-caster, this isn't a bad mod to do. See photo of parts-o-caster with extra sproinginess attached.

Great Inexpensive Upgrade! Get 'Em!
These are really cool! My Strat stays in tune. I use all 5 and float my trem a little bit. Not a Hendrix dive bomber, more Gilmour color type uses. Give them a try! Pros love 'em too!
