What you are getting here, folks, is select episodes from the 1980's original Care Bears series. Fun little adventures that used the same great animation techniques involved with The Care Bears Movie (1985) and The Care Bears Movie 2: The New Generation (1986). They are not cheap, far from foreign, and contain a plethora of hidden and not so hidden moral messages all wrapped up in great, entertaining adventures. The only "vested" interests I have in this company would be that they are trying to keep classic television alive by allowing us to own great cartoons from our days as children, in order to share with our own children. Being born in the 80's, my parents always went on and on about cartoons from their hay-day, such as Honk Kong Fui, Gigantor, Diver Dan, Richochet Rabbit and Johnny Quest. And it wasn't until the mid-90's when a channel began syndicating such shows that I really got to see what my parents were talking about. And now the people who owned the rights to these classics have, just in the last 10 or so years, started putting them out in DVD format, and it's just AWESOME! So yes, folks, especially if you don't mind sharing some television history with your young one, this is perfect. My three year old son absolutely LOVES the classic Care Bears. They have some hidden lessons in them that i didn't realize i was learning from when i was little. but now that i am older and am watching them i can see where i learned some of the things that i do now! Each Title has like 4-8 episodes in it, so you really get 25 different Care Bears shows. I kept my 3 1/2 year old and 2 year old busy for hours watching these!
