Seems sturdy enough
I just received this yesterday but so far it seems sturdy enough. Arms that keep the computer from sliding off are a bit too high and a bit uncomfortable while typing. If there is no other noise in the room you can hear the fans. I do like the fact that you can regulate the fan speed. I use this sitting in my lap while reclining in my chair and so far it is comfortable enough for extended usage. Time will tell how well it holds up.4/23/2020 UPDATE - this has worked perfectly for two years - it has just started giving me problems by not starting or the fans running slow even though I have them turned up on high but fiddling with it gets it going again. Going to purchase another one so I have it when/if this one dies.

Make sure you order the correct size
This is a bit bulky. I did not measure my computer when ordering. This is just a couple inches bigger than my laptop. This is hard plastic, so to sit it on the lap is somewhat uncomfortable. Overall the fan is pretty quiet and the blue light is nice and gives a futuristic feel. My computer runs smoothly and is happier when I use this.

Great Value
What a great value! Cooling Pad was built solid/stable works great. Only thing wrong with it was that it was shipped with a USB-A - USB-B cable rather than the required USB-A - USB-A cable. No worries I had one that did the trick!.
