Fun family game
Played this game with a six year old. He picked up the rules and turns well enough to play with guidance, though I suspect he will need more practice to remember the mechanics and not need help and reminders. Simple enough for the kid, interesting enough for the adult. Fun artwork. Sturdy materials. Character templates with labeled spots for everything are a nice touch. Should have decent replayability as a family game.

Very engaging game for the whole family.
This was an awesome game for the whole family. The game is beyond a one and done with an ever changing game layout and out come. Great beginners idea to something like DnD or Pathfinder. The game varies though as players compete against each other rather than cooperatively.Still and great game and highly recommended. Family played 4 rounds same day.

Such a fun game!
Me and my 17yo loved playing this game. We are both D&D geeks :). The artwork is superb! The directions are easy to follow, which makes it great for younger children. Karak isn't a cooperative game, nor is a game where players attack each other like in Dungeon Mayhem (another game we love). Each player is simply trying to collect the most treasure and survive the dungeon. My only critiques are... (1) I wish the special powers were written onto the character cards. We kept having to refer to the manual. (2) I wish there were tokens of some sort that we can put on a dungeon room once it's been cleared since monsters or treasures can appear in cleared rooms. We used pennies lol. (3) I wish some of the monsters had higher hit points or special powers that balanced the game more. Once a player collects a couple of scrolls and weapons, beating the monsters are easy work. Next time we play we might only use one dice. The pros far outweigh the cons, so I'm giving it 5 stars. Note to the creators: I would LOVE if there were expansion packs that made Karak more challenging. Maybe some rooms with death traps and literal dead ends. Or an option for players to battle each other if they land in the same room. Not to the death. Just a roll-off and the player who rolls the highest number gets to take one item from the other player's inventory. Heck, maybe even add a backstab or slight-of-hand tile to the draw bag.

Lots of fun
We had a great time playing this game over the holidays. It’s a rare game that kids and adults can play at the same time and both will have fun. 🤩

Easy to learn and fun for the whole family!
As a family of 5, it can be hard to find games for 5 or more players that are also enjoyable for all ages. We all love this one! Our kids are 13, 10, and 6 years old and they were all able to learn how to play quickly. The six year old does need a little guidance as we play, but she still has a good time playing with the rest of us and the more we play the less help she needs. The game itself is very well-made and the box it comes in includes sectioned storage to keep all the pieces organized. The build-as-you-go gameboard and many heroes to choose from make the game a little different each time you play, which keeps it fun and makes us eager to play it again and again. I would definitely recommend this game for family game nights, or as a gift for kids who enjoy adventure games.

Great quality game that isn’t that deep but good for playing with kids
First of all, the quality of the game is great. It is very sturdy and attractive. My kids who are seven and nine really enjoyed it. I enjoyed playing with them and having a game of this type to get them interested in more complex things later on. The gameplay itself is pretty repetitive and I wouldn’t recommend this for a group of adults. A lot depends on the roll of the dice, and if there isn’t much, you can do to get yourself out of a situation if you just have a series of bad rolls. Was fun overall and I would definitely recommend it to any parents who are looking for some. They can play with their kids outside of video games.

Fun Game for 6-9 y/o
Easy enough for younger kids to play and way more fun for the adults than Uno or go fish! Great introduction to complex RPG board games without being at all complex.
