Broken
10 months later it broke after 2 uses. Metal is not supposed to brake like this if the welding is any good.

EDITED:Originally rated this 5 stars. But then it broke the 5th time we used it, sending $2000 in shotgun mics smashing into the ground from 10 ft up. It was holding a pair of Sennheiser medium-length shotgun mics on a dual-mic mount, each with a shockmount, on a 7ft carbon fiber boom pole. Luckily the "ground" was rocky forest floor and the mics barely missed the rocks.Post disaster analysis revealed that the upright "post" is welded to the curvy bit with two SMALL, CRUMMY spot welds, one on each side. These welds broke under the leverage of the two mics and boom pole.

Do not buy.
This boom holder completely snapped after my second time using it. It almost caused my boom to hit talent on the head. It's better to spend a little more and get something that will last. The one I had before this one I bought locally and lasted 8 years I just gave it to someone in need. This one couldn't last 2 weeks. Then I asked for a refund but never got a response
