I had hoped the shade was a little darker.

Never ran out. Amazon had my order here so quickly and at a very reasonable price.

This color of red is perfect as it blends in with other garments when crocheting lacy shawls or tops. The local stores cannot keep it on the shelf and the value works out better here.. you can get as much as you need.
