Hydro Flask Straw Cap for Standard Mouth Bottles, Leakproof Straw Lid

Wish there was an option for this to come with metal straws but love having this instead of standard cap now

I bought a 24 ounce Hydro Flask for the gym that contained a regular top. I bought this so that I could use it during spin or rowing workouts. It fits perfectly and seals tightly (you have to twist the top until the orange gasket is no longer visible). It’s easy to access the spout with one hand and doesn’t spill. It comes with an extra straw.

Fit my old hydro flask bottle perfectly and works great. So far, so good.

This newer Hydro Flask straw lid design is a major improvement over the older versions. The best update by far is that the rubber gasket now fully comes out for cleaning. That sounds minor until you’ve owned older straw lids and realized how much buildup can happen around seals that don’t fully disassemble. We’ve used these daily for school, sports, work, road trips, you name it, and they hold up really well. No leaking issues, the straw is comfortable to drink from, and the handle makes it easy to carry or clip onto bags. I also appreciate that replacement parts are available because the bottles themselves last forever. Being able to refresh the lid instead of replacing the whole bottle is a huge plus. Simple product, but very well done.

This is a huge improvement from the lid my flask came with which was the exposed mouthpiece that pulls out to open. That lid was hard to open, easy to forget it was open and leak everywhere when I set it on my car seat, and was also not sanitary since the rubber mouthpiece is just out touching everything and collecting dust and hair. This lid solves these problems for me. The reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that since the lid is very symmetrical, it’s not easy to tell which way it opens when I grab my bottle for a drink, so half the time I need to spin my bottle around 180º. The handle is a bit small, so if the straw is up, then it can lead to some pinched fingers. Also the little nub that plugs the vent hole when closed is quite close to the end of the straw, so it feels a little uncomfortable. But overall it’s pretty nice, and fairly easy to clean since the straw that goes in the bottle can be removed, as well as the o-ring and the interior seal.

This is great if you don't want to constantly remove the cap for a sip of water.

You can't use it without the straw and you have to use the straws it comes with or it will leak, even if it seams like the same size. But other than that it's a great replacement for the usual cap. I know it sounds simple but I love it because I'm always trying to find ways to get myself to drink more water and the flip straw rather than having to unscrew the cap makes a huge difference in my water intake.

The item is fine. The delivery was not good. The package was left outside our gate (which was NOT locked and easily assessible). Any passerby could have taken the package had I not just got back home and saw it.

For those who are sensitive to smells this cap is not a good choice. It has quite a strong smell from the red silicone. I cleaned it many times and left it outside, anyway it smells.

Love it, great attention to detail. It comes with two straws, you cut it to decide the length so it works for all bottles that fit the lid shape. The red tab at the bottom can be used to hang the cap on the side of the bottle so its easier to fill up without pulling the entire straw out.
