Fun!
Its nice I am getting to know the folks of the town. ;)That Mia is evolving as to her power, relationships and self-value.I really like Patrick.Even though the sleuthing is becoming like a formula, I still enjoy reading it and will be reading more of the series because of the characters.

They quaint, quiet little town
If it’s really that great of a small town, would someone New get murdered every other week? Asking for a friend….

Series Has Potential But Also Thorns
There's a lot to like with this series - the plots, the characters, the humor - BUT...the author really needs to rethink going overboard on the whole midlife issues. Mia is 42, not 52, and all the focus on weight gain, hot flashes, etc. Is way too much, too early for the character and frankly pretty much a downer for her to obsess over. If she's that fat, hormonal and insecure, why would a hunk like Dane pay any attention to her?

Extraordinarily entertaining Paranormal women’s fiction series
This is an extraordinarily entertaining paranormal women’s fiction series. A great cast of characters and a fun and entertaining storyline. Mia Thorne is 42 years old and spent most of her life living in New York city working her butt off for unappreciative bosses who are jackasses and tyrants. She basically jumped from job to job boyfriend boyfriend and was never really satisfied with either. Until one day she thought she was in love with her boyfriend and was going to ask him to marry her by doing a small flash mob scene where she worked. Instead her boss came back early fired her and her boyfriend who is a douche bag broke up with her because he had a new girlfriend kicked her out of his apartment and now she was basically out of work and homeless. She got a call from her mother Who she also did not really get along with but her mother told her about and inheritance from her great aunt that Mia had inherited. With not many other options me a packed up her things and went to the small town do you find out what was happening and what was up. She inherited her great aunts house and ornery cat and a new life.Read on to find out all that happens in her new life of mystery magic and Mayham. A fun and entertaining read.

Fun series
I have enjoyed all three of these books and look forward to the next one. At 78, I enjoy books with mature intelligent women and even though she is almost half my age, it beats dealing with nothing but teenagers and 20 somethings. I would love a series where the main charcters were 70+ and not considered doddering senile old fools, even if they have rotten functional memories. That's the memory that goes first and drives us insane... You will recognize it when you can't remember why you walked 10 feet into the next room or where you put your icewater...that glass you poured 10 minutes ago. Anyway, looking forward to the next book.

Great Read!!
This series is absolutely fantastic! Annabel Chase is a phenomenal author who is able to span multiple genres with ease. She has that quirky wit of Janet Evanovich that made me laugh out loud multiple times! I have loved every book of hers to date. This book spoke to me as a woman in that time of her life who, like the main character, could be either “pregnant or menopausal.” The characters are well defined; the plots are engaging; and there is rarely a dull moment!

Family time..
.. when Mia's mother, Madeline, and her husband Jurgen come to visit things don't go well..Jurgen ends up a suspect in a murder when he tries to help a young woman who has been stabbed. Madeline is not happy about anything much but that is no surprise to Mia.Once again she feels obligated to help solve the case if only so Madeline goes home and see he can resume her relationship with "Dean" the motorcyclist with tattoos she made up in a flurry of worry that the second she saw Dane she'd try and book a wedding. It's not bad.. it's not great.. it's ok.. the editing has improved.

Always a good story from this author
Entertaining with plenty of amusing observations from Mia, the newly aware witch. Thoroughly enjoyable read with hopefully more books to follow in this series.
